Thought you might enjoy seeing a mirror I made for my powder room.. Just an inexpensive mirror I picked up at Lowes, I added the star fish with gorilla glue and waaaalahhh! I found the cute “beach” sign at HomeGoods, as well as the black star fish on the vanity. I was pleased with how it turned out!! I guess the same thing could be done with any type shell or even a mixture of varities.

It was fun!

1. What a gorgeous mirror and a great idea! Not too long ago, I saw a similar mirror in a decorating magazine (I wish I could remember which one so I could tell you) and I admired it. How great that you did it yourself. I love when that happens! Brava!

2. Thanks Holly.
I am glad you are enjoying the site….the mirror was a lot of fun to make, and not too expensive. You should try one as well.
Thanks again,

3. To Alli

Since your powder room has such tall ceilings, have you ever given any
thought to turn your light fixture so that the light shines upwards. I think
it would give your room a lift by making it feel lighter in scale and not so
bottom heavy. (imhoo) I did that to my powder room and got so many
comments on it, really gave it a boost in the right direction. :-)
