I bet your wondering how 5 ladies from all over the U.S. ended up on the HomeGoods Blog? It all started a few months ago when HomeGoods sent out e-mails and asked some questions about how we liked to live. They wanted to start a blog site that would be of interest to people with a passion for decorating, entertaining and maintaining their homes. Well, they were talking our language and the language of 20,000 others that entered the search. Luckily we were picked as volunteers to share our thoughts and ideas and hear all of yours. If you read our profiles, you’ll see we are all very different, but really nice, ladies. We all have one thing in common, and that is, HomeGoods is one of our favorite places to shop. If you’ve been there, you know. The main purpose for this site is to have a channel where anyone can share their decorating tips, ideas, dilemmas, great shopping finds, or anything that enriches your life. We want to inspire you and we know you’ll inspire us. Feel free to post comments on our blog entries. We’re looking forward to hearing from you.

5. My husband brought home all new dark red leather furniture. What can I add to this collection to make it not so uniform looking. It came with sofa, love seat, and giant chair and lucky me they all recline. I’ve never been to HomeGoods and just discover that we have one in our city. Do they Have an interior decorator employed at all the stores for advise. I sure could use some ideas. I’m not that crazy about matching furniture but I love my husband and guess I will get use to it.

6. Hello Maggie,
Husbands mean well. If they get some big leather furniture and a big screen TV, they’re happy. The only thing I can tell you is to add some coordinating colored pillows and drape a throw over one of the pieces to break up the collection a little. Also an area rug with the same color and pattern will draw the attention elsewhere. Also some large art on the wall to balance the scale of the furnishings. In other words give the eye other interesting things to look at in the room and that should ” tame ” the furniture.

7. This is the most fun blog! First of all, I recently discovered Home Goods. From the store I called my good friend and said to come down right away. I had discovered a gem and needed a friend to share with right away. I have lived in Orange Co. since ??? forever, until recently moved to the San Bernadino mountains to open a B & B. I love to decorate!!! We did not open our B & B, but however decorated it like one. All my friends ask for decorating advice and I have decorated a vacation home here for a friend. I grew up in New Jersey. It is nice to know there are some very cool ladies here on this blog from the same places who share the same tastes and ideas. SOooo Glad to have found this blog as well as the Home Goods Store!
