I cannot belive it has been over a week since I have been to HomeGoods! The only reason being that my husband had back surgery….I know, no excuse. JK The store looked great! so many new things….My best friend is putting her beach condo on the rental market for the summer, so she has been looking for another quilt or coverlet to replace the one currently in the master bedroom. As soon as I got to the bedding section I found the perfect one! It is a light blue plaid on one side and stripe on the other. It came in the powder blue and a really striking tan. I knew she would love the blue. it will be perfect….and the price, phenominal…29.99 for a king size!! A great look and no worries for renters! HomeGoods to the rescue once again!!!
1. Hi Allison,
I’m glad you found a coverlet for your friend. I always seem to find something for someone when I go to HomeGoods. I”m counting the days when a new T J Maxx/Homegoods is opening real close to where I live. I drive by and “Smile.”
I hope your Husbands doing better. Back surgery, NOT FUN! Take care.

3. I visited a HomeGoods store today for the first time & I was soooo fasinated. The prices were just unbelievable. It inspired me to redecorate my entire home. I fell in love with a decorative plate (Dept 33, style:309822, By: Threehands, color:aquamarine with gold/dark brown & beige swirls with a gold backing). I regret that I didn’t get it when I saw it. When I returned 20 minutes later the plate was gone & I have not been able to locate it at any of the stores in my area. If anyone can help please let me know.

6. I visited Home Goods in Winston-Salem, N.C. for the umpteenth time and love, love, love it. I purchased 3 glass cloches at such a fantastic price. I also purchased a white teapot with matching creamer and sugar. My house is full of items purchased at Home Goods and TJ Maxx. Can’t say enough good things about those stores. When I need a “fix”, I head for those stores. Wish we had one or the other or both in Kernersville,N.C.

7. Hi Gerry,
Nice to hear from another “HomeGoods faithful” I love the Winston Salem store too! I frequent it on the way to my parents home in western NC. I have an idea, get a few friends together, preferabley one with a mini van or large SUV, and carpool to the Raleigh HomeGoods! You will pass a fabulous HG in Durham, and the next spot will be Brier Creek HG in Raleigh, and after a quick break, head to the one in Apex! Talk about a “fix”. You might need to spend the night! hahahah Happy shopping!

8. Hi Alli,
Your name has been popping up in a few places. So good to hear from you. What are you up to these days? How is the Real Estate business on the east coast…hope it’s better than the west coast. I bet you’re enjoying your beautiful beach house this summer. We miss you and all your great posts. Just wanted to say Hi and so good to hear from you.
Your Friend,

9. Hi Cathy,
So good to hear from you as well…….Things here are still quite busy! I meant to send you a comment. I used your technique for hanging a group of pictures and it worked beautifully! I actually hung plates in my dining room and I love how it turned out. I followed your instructions, and used the paper template. If I get the opportunity I will submit a photo.
Take care my friend and stay in touch!! Oh by the way, where is Betty?
warmest regards,
alli

10. Hi Alli,
I’m glad your picture wall came out good. That paper template trick is a winner. I bet your houses look wonderful. Especially that infamous “blue wall”, LOL. I’m glad things are going well and your staying busy…I would worry if you had nothing to do! Ha.
Betty is not writing for the blog right now. We miss her terribly as with you. Our two new bloggers, Susan and Joan are wonderful with some great ideas.
Take Care and stay in touch my friend,
Cathy
