This completed a rather empty wall in my kitchen. It seems the kitchen is always the gathering place for family and friends. Our wine rack and wine tasting sign met a need ( not a beverage need, but a decorating one) and has also become quite the conversation piece, and just good fun!

1. Hi Deb,
Very cute wine rack and the sign above is perfect. Its nice to find something you need and is decorative at the same time.
Send more pictures of your house. It sounds so nice.
Hows your blog site going? I wouldn’t know where to start.
Take care, Cathy

2. Deb,
I too love anything that has to do with wine tasting and wanted to pass along this idea to you..my sister-in-law made me the cutiest wreath all out of wine corks..she used a hot glue gun and glued them to a round form..going in all directions(over lapping each other) at Christmas she added fresh greens a plaid bow, some fresh berries and it looked darling..after Christmas she put ivy and grapes on the wreath with the bow..you can make the wreath however big you choose and it is a real conversation piece…she also made a great piece for her wine cabinet..she took a large green colored wine bottle..took the labels off..filled it with a small string of tiny white Christmas lights..added fresh greens, a bow, and an ornament around the neck of the bottle..plugged it in on her cabinet and it too looks darling…these also make nice gifts..hope you enjoy the ideas..I too love your wine rack..happy shopping..Margie

3. Margie,
Great comments! Fun decorating ideas! Don’t you love things you can use to decorate for Christmas and then with a quick switch to make them work the rest of the year. I once had a friend make a welcome sign for me that only had to be flipped over to offer Christmas greetings. It was my favorite Christmas decoration, because it only took me two seconds and it was done! Thanks for your ideas and kind words. Deb

4. Where did you get this table (and sign?!) Are they both from Home Goods? It is exactly what I want but didn’t see either at HOme goods near me. ANy advise?? Thanks! PB

5. Hi Penelope,

Both of these items were purchased about four years ago, when we moved into our current home. I wish my memory were better, but I do believe the sign was from HomeGoods. The table was not, but I also can’t remember where I found it. You know how it is with a move – I shopped everywhere during those months of settling in. I usually recommend a Google search . . . try something like “wrought iron glass top wine holder.” It sounds crazy, but I am amazed at the success I have when I let my fingers do the walking. I hope you have great success. Let us know!

6. What is the price of this Wine Tasting?

by Helene — 11/28/09 at 1:32 am #

7. Hi Helene, I’m thinking you mean the sign. We have never charged for wine tasting at our house. ;-) I believe I paid about $20 for the sign; however, I purchased it about five years ago and I am not certain any more of the store. I hope you have success in finding exactly the look you want.

Thanks for stopping by and for taking the time to leave a comment.
