I do not know why I have this fascination with these glass domes…I am just intrigued by them.  Thought you might like to see how I used one in my bedroom.  This is my wedding bouquet.  I did not do any special process to dry it, I simply put it away in a hat box.  One day I thought , “I should bring that out and display it somehow”.  It was such a special and important day in my life, a little visual reminder makes me happy.  This is the result.

3. The display of your bridal bouquet “under glass” was an excellent idea, Alli! So many of us have our cherished bouquets hidden away in boxes for years — I have never seen this design issue addressed before. Bravo!

4. Thanks Kathi,
I don’t know if you can tell from the photo, but I also have a picture from our wedding on the beach with the bouquet. I enjoy seeing it; a nice remembrance of a special day!
Thanks again for your kind remarks!

5. Alli,

Your display is very pretty. I do believe the term for the glass domes is cloche. I am not sure if I spelled it correctly or not. I also like to use these throughout my home. Right now, with summer upon us, I have displayed three special shells from a morning hunt with my daughters under one of them. I really like the height of the one you have. Alot of times I am always trying to find the right piece for the cloche to sit on to bring some height to my displays. If you are lucky, you will occassionally find one of these at Home Goods, which is where I came across one of the cloches that I have. Keep your eyes open!

Happy decorating!
