When we moved to the beach, I had such a hard time deciding what to use in the master bedroom.  The room was painted a buttery yellow, with glossy white trim. I first thought of a print with yellow and white…then I thought I would bring in another color…nothing seemed “just right”.  My daughter kept suggesting “an all white” theme.  I just couldn’t visualize the results.  After many trials and errors and returning quilts and duvets to HomeGoods, I decided to take her advice.  I hate to admit it, but she was right.  The “all white” was exactly the look I wanted. I don’t try and match the “whites” exactly, I think the subtle shades add to the look….What do you think??? The plates over the bed I also found at HomeGoods!

LOVE IT Do you LOVE IT?

1. What a beautiful room! I love the all white bedding and butter walls. So fresh and relaxing. The beautiful bed looks like an antique. The plates are a perfect touch. Thanks for sharing your lovely room.

2. This room is beautiful! “The Shades of White” makes one conscious of how beautiful white continues to be. I really love the wall decor and the character of this handsome bed. I also like the variation in lamp styles, that match the bed.

Great room!

Curious-what color is the floor? And what kind of window treatment?SUZANNE

4. Thanks Suzanne….the floors are carpeted in a basket weave sisal, sort of an oyster white. On the windows, I also did white…the are “cutwork” panels from “Country Curtains”. I hung them using a large deorative rod (white also) and white rings…..It made for a very crisp coastal look…..
Thanks so much for your kind comments!
