Having lunch/brunch with friends and family is always exciting! It’s spring and I want to celebrate the wonderful entrance. When coming from a meeting, I went to HomeGoods. I wanted to see their new and exciting additions. The first thing that I saw when I enter the store were the beautiful yellow plates, cups and saucers, teapot, etc. I knew immediately what I would do. I made the purchase.

Everything on the table is from HomeGoods, but the flowers. I made this small arrangement to compliment the table. Even the wall hangings to your left are from HomeGoods (all but the fruit and green peppers). I love this store! I can always find what I’m looking for. What about you?
1. This is gorgeous!!! Does the china have little rabbits on it????

2. What a beautiful table you set. The dishes are very cute and love the color. They compliment the stained glass window and light fixture. This is a great place to enjoy brunch. Love the setting!

3. Hi Ladies,
Thank you so much for the compliments. I did this prior to going to church this morning. I am just coming back into the house. By next week my kitchen will be under renovation. Just a few changes, but I will have the brunch on next Sunday.
I spend a lot of time in my kitchen. Generally when people come, they congregate in the kitchen.
Yes Alli, they are little rabbits (smile). The rabbits and the color are why I fell in love with the brunchware (smile).

6. Hi Petra,
Go to the section at the top of this page that says “Customer Finds.” Then follow the instructions that says “Submit yours.” You are then on your way. We all look forward to seeing your photos. That would be a lot of fun.

8. Hi Kathi and All,
The next time that I have a brunch, maybe I can extend an invitation (smile). Thank you for your wonderful comments! I also love stainglass because of the joy that it brings me. The livingroom/dining room of our home, when I was young, had two full stainglass windows, as well as over the transom and the top of the front windows of our home. It is amazing how things stick with you and the stainglass has become very important in my home. I associate great memories with those windows.
Again, thank you and do great things for yourselves!

11. Hi Betty,
I am just beginning my Tea Part business. I did a launch in my home and had 20 guests come in to enjoy the pleasure of the experience. I am about to get help to build a web site and I have an ad on partypop.com
the name of the business is One Love Tea Events. I need some ideas of how to get the word out about the business in the area of California where I live. Rancho cucamonga . Thanks , Andrea, Rancho Cucamonga .CA

12. Hi Andrea,
You are already doing such great PR for your business by having a party at your home and having 20 guests attend. Word of Mouth is one of the best ways to advertise any business. However, you want to cut back on the multiple expenses that come into play with major advertising. Getting your business on the internet is another great way to advertise. It does not have to be expensive and people are always using the internet to get information that they need.
Some other inexpensive ways that you might advertise are:
– Identify the women’s groups in your area and the surrounding areas. Send invitations to them asking to present your business to their group. Take pictures or samples of what you do and have done. Give them the variety of Tea Parties that might be available upon request. Have some kind of memorabilia that you can leave with them. It could be a book marker with your companies name, logo, pertinent information and a synopsis of the business.
– Send your announcements/invitations to the local churches and let them know that your business is available for them/or attendees in their congregation that might be interested in utilizing your business and you are willing to accommodate..
– Work in conjunction with one or more catering companies that are not interested in doing Tea Parties, but would love to share tea parties as an option to their customers.
-Check with the museums, Art Galleries, universities, colleges, and other institutions where people congregate for meetings or social events. Very often a Tea Party is encouraged. Especially in museums and art galleries.
There is a group in the District of Columbia that has a major Tea Party that introduces the fashion show every year. This is a huge success and the ladies come looking like they are all ready to have tea.
-Get in touch with mother’s groups that have the emphasis on children. They are always excited to have an opportunity that gets them away from the “baby responsibilites.” This gives them a chance to participate in a fun and and exciting event that allows them to capitalize on being “ladies.”
Also, contact book clubs. They will often have celebrative events that bolster their book reading events.
I hope that these suggestions help. However, if you have any concerns or need any additional assistance, feel free to contact me. Good Luck!!!

13. Hi Betty,
Many, many thanks for all these ideas that I did not think of. I love your thinking because it is so economical and creative. These ideas will get me out in the neighborhood netwoking with a definite purpose. I love the idea of women’s groups, art galleries and using the Tea Party to get Moms to get together as ladies and just enjoy the experience of indulging in Tea Time . You are very supportive. I so appreciate the time you have taken to share these ideas with me. I will definitely keep you and the readers updated on how the Tea Party business is progressing.

15. You’re table is beautiful. I am doing a luncheon for 100 girls and ladies next month and our theme is Sugar and Spice. Any ideas that we could use for decorating? We have a stage to decorate as well.
