When we bought our shore home, we knew we would rebuild one day. Decorating this time around was done with the idea that my primary home furnishing would one day move done with me. I didn’t want to buy a bedroom set, just wanted express my own taste in decor. I found a rusted and old fireplace screen of Mexican wrought iron in a salvage yard. Cleaned off the rust with fine steel wool, Then gave it numerous coats of spray on clear polyurethane. It came out beautiful and at a low cost. I love it so much it will become the fireplace screen in the new house. I call this recycling my treasures.

LOVE IT Do you LOVE IT?

1. I love what you did with the fireplace screen. I’d keep it as a headboard, (raise it a bit to see all the great detail). Its amazing what can be done with creativity.
