I spent the afternoon cleaning out closets and doing some organizing. I keep telling you all, I am more than ready for Spring.

I love this rag basket! I have stored everything in it, from stuffed animals to yarn and knitting supplies. I was looking at a catalogue the other day, and saw one exactly like it for more than twice the price. I think I am going to go get a couple more!

4. I also own one of these rag baskets, bought at Home Goods. I think it is very attractive. It’s “current” use is a temporary holding bin. If the kids (teens) leave stuff lying around the kitchen or family room, and I need to to a quick decluttering, into this basket the stuff goes. It sits on the bottom shelf of a baker’s rack. Now if the kids are missing their electronics or a book or a pair of slippers, they know they can retrieve it from this rag basket. They are required to completely empty the basket once a week.

5. Maura, What a great idea! I love that use for the rag basket, or any basket. It’s like a family lost and found center. I bet it cuts down on the “search high and low” mornings! Thanks for another great organization suggestion!!
