It is amazing how one item can be the pivotal point for decorating a room.  I didn’t know for years what to do with my family room. However, when I went to favorite store, I saw this rug. I knew that I had to purchase it.  I had a budget and I had to stick to it.  The price was extremely reasonable.  Once I purchased it, everything  else fell in place.  I knew what I needed to make this room come alive for me.  I call this my Royal Rug.

You can see how the decoration was developed around the rug.

It was easier than I thought.  I just needed to be inspired.  What inspired you in your home?

1. Betty, I really like your rug. It has rich color and pattern. I especially love the tiger and leopard print pillows. Very nice. The whole room is very well put together. Your rug was your inspiration piece. Love the art work too. Good job.

3. Hi Lynne,

Thanks for the comment! I purchased this lovely rug in HomeGoods. After my purchase, I saw it in a high-end store priced at more than $1,000.00 over the amount that I paid. I couldn’t believe it! HomeGoods has beautiful rugs for minimal cost and you will find that the price is more than right. You have to look every week because there are always new additions that you will feel that you must have.

Check it out and let us know what you purchase. We would love to see it.
