When we moved into our current home, the first room inside the front door was the dining room. We no longer had a need for a dining room, as we have a huge eat in kitchen where everyone seems to congregate when we entertain. So, because we had some additional pieces of furniture that didn’t fit in our great room, one being our piano, we decided to transform the dining room into a music/living room. After we removed the ceiling fixture and capped it off, we were all set. As you can see, even though the look is traditional, I still love my whimsy for the holidays. By now, you know where I go to find my accent pieces and whimsy!

1. In the dining room, you need to see what you are eating. This room is too dark. The furniture looks great.

2. Evelyn, I probably should have explained better, that this room is only used as a living room now. Although, if we had room for a table it might work for a quaint candle light dinner. ;-) Thanks for commenting.
