I love beautiful glassware. I don’t believe in spending enormous sums to get the glassware that I want. I can usually find what I want for a reasonable price. I generally buy 6 to 8 glasses. When planning for company, I like to feel that I have a good selection that will compliment the table. Most of the glasses that you see in this picture are from HomeGoods or Marshalls (the sister store). If you are like me, you get excited when you can find beautiful pieces that meet your needs. Tell me your interest in glassware.

1. Seeing this range of glassware reminds me that spring weather and outdoor entertaining is (hopefully) around the corner. Looking for fun, colorful glasses can help set the tone. Maybe I should visit HomeGoods to look for some inspiration.

2. Betty,
I love these glasses….you know you can never have too many glasses, too much china, or too many shoes!!! LOL I do enjoy having a variety as well. I think it is fun to drink my orange juice in the morning from a beautiful piece of stemware…it gets my day off to a good start. Thanks for sharing these with us…..

3. I love martinis and I love to have martini parties. However, I don’t like matching martini glasses. I must have 2 dozen different martini glass, all of them purchased at Home Goods or TJMaxx or Marshalls. I have never had to pay more than $4.00 for the most fabulous martini glasses. I love going just to see what’s new.

4. Hi Susan,

Isn’t that a great feeling! I love beautiful glasses and feel that it is far more exciting not to have all of them matching. The prices are more than right. Every week HomeGoods has something else that is new and exciting! Keep going into HomeGoods and keep checking out the site.

Thanks for your comment!

5. I love to mix different patterns and colors rather than using all the same
glasses. It makes the table look interesting if you select the right mixture.

6. Hi Michelle,

I agree with you totally! I think that some times when you mix different sets of dishes and glasses, you have a very interesting and intriguing table that enhances the environment and your atmosphere. I will always consider mixing glassware for a formal table as long as I keep the pattern in check. The glasses with the red pattern, have two in purple, two in blue and two in green. That’s the mixture that I purchase for the beauty and variety. Thanks for your comments! Why don’t you share with us some of your glasses! It would be exciting!

7. Wow!, How beautiful ! My husband and I joined a small gourmet cooking club a couple of years ago. We take turns with other couples, cooking different themes from around the world about every six weeks, and setting a beautiful semi-formal table for eight is extremely important. In Nov., I have selected to cook “Colonial America”, and have searched and searched for the perfect stemware, ((or at least close to perfect), without spending a fortune, and I finally found exactly waht I needed at homegoods. The red and clear stemware shown above is better than perfect. I already have a set of colonial style china, white with a red rose pattern, and I cannot wait to use these gorgeous glasses.
