It is amazing to see the wide range of Dinnerware that HomeGoods makes available to the customers that are so exciting, bold and refreshing.  Just recently when I visited the HomeGoods store in my area, I saw these beautiful displays.  These plates, cups and saucers, platters and other tableware quench the appetite for those seeking to extend themselves beyond the traditional dinnerware sets.  These are more celebrative.  The wonderful person who organizes the display, could barely replace pieces when customers were immediately buying what she made available.  She gave names to the each of the dinnerware sets:

This one she called “Summer Fiesta;”

IMG 0206

This one she called “Summer Shore;”

and this one is a contiuation of Summer Shore with a mixture of “Simply Lovely.”  These are dishes that can be  easily used outside and inside, and  all year round. Which would be your choice?

5. I just love the one of a kind things your store carry. I’m on a fix income and some of your stuff I can not afford to get right away. It would be nice if you had a lay away plan.

by Pam — 5/9/07 at 6:45 pm #

6. Hi Pam,

I agree, a lay-awar plan does make it possible to buy a lot more when you are on a fixed- income. These beautiful items sell so quickly. However, check with the store that you shop at and see what they have to say. I hope that in some way, you can be accommodated. Keep coming in and saving money so that you will be able to purchase something beautiful that you want. Every week there is a different and exciting display of dishes and other wonderful items for sale. I hope that you can get something that you will cherish and love soon. Good luck!

7. I am very excited about the store. I went into the Home Store for the first time and I fought an elegant chair for my bedroom with the same material and same design that my comforter set that I bought from Macy’s Department. I was so surprized because I went into the store looking for an ottoman, but instead I found a chair that matches the comforter set.

8. Hi Phyllis,

You should be excited! It is that kind of find that happens very seldom and when it does, it seems as though you have found the the answer to decorating questions. It sounds as though this elegant chair contributes to your comfort level. Great!!

9. Hi Betty,

I am generally a conservative person, but I really like these dishes. I went to the store to see what I could find like these and they were all gone. But I did find some really beautiful dishes that I fell in love with. Thank you for making me aware that I could get this kind of merchandise from HG. I had never gone there before, but now I know that I will be a frequent shopper.

10. Ok, I love to mix white basic plates with colored salad bowls, glasses, etc. I change the mix based on what I am serving, the time of year, and who I’ve invited. My table always looks different, but it doesnt cost me alot because white is still my basic palette.
Homegoods is great because i can get really beautiful colors and patterns at very beautiful prices !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

11. If you don’t have catalogue, how do I see your “inventory.” . . . Particularly Kichen goods. . . .

by Peggy [...] — 6/4/07 at 1:44 pm #

12. Hi Peggy,

You asked about the possibility of a catalogue. I am sorry to say that there is no specific catalogue at his time. However, with the blogging we will continue to introduce different kinds of table/dinnerware that might appeal to your taste. Then you might get in touch with a store that is closest to you to see if they have the merchandise of most interest to you.

I will get back in touch with you in a few days to let you know what I find out regarding what other method you might use to see a wider variety of table/dinnerware.

Thanks loads!!!

13. I like reading about other’s finds at HomeGoods. I’ve only been into three HomeGoods stores-one in CA, one in IL, and Eugene,Oregon -much too far away from where I live, so I’m very pleased to learn a new store is/has opened at Beaverton, Oregon. Question: at store in IL, a type of dish in the Beatrix Potter line, the clerks didn’t know what it was, it was a shallow ‘dish-type’ about 7 inches long with a small round ‘dish’ fused in the center, only about 1.5 inches wide. Could someone tell me what it is? Perhaps a box would identify it…it was with other Peter Rabbit cereal bowls, and small (5″ perhaps) plates. Alberta

15. WHAT WONDERFUL COLORS. You can really get inspired to decorate a room with plates like these!…. Kate & Nancy / Periwinkle Painters

by Periwinkle Painters/ Kate & Nancy — 7/2/07 at 6:57 pm #

16. Hi Periwinkle Painters - Kate and Nancy,

You are right, the dishes can inspire decoration. But, it is artists like you that can make every aspect of the room come alive. You ladies are tremendous artists/painters! I love what I have seen and the variation of your work. I really like the Tuscany inspired wall that conveys the look of marble. Keep sharing with us and allowing us to see the magic of the brush and paint.

19. I have to say my girlfriend loves Homegoods. The only thing that sucks is she found a set of dishes she fell in love with but it is an incomplete set. The nearest HGs that has the plates in stock is 400 miles away =( Its too bad that HGs does not allow store to store transfers or shipping since we will now have to return the set she fell in love with. =(

by John M — 6/3/08 at 11:17 pm #

20. Hi John,

We are so sorry to hear about the dishes, but do recommend you keep looking. With over 10,000 new items coming to the store each week, often times they will get the same merchandise back in.

Thank you,

Jessica
