Heres an idea to get rid of some of the paper clutter that ends up on the refrigerator or counter tops.
Use the INSIDE of your kitchen cabinet doors for message centers for each member of your family.
You can use a metal paint on the inside and use magnets, or cork boards or just tape up all the information on the inside of the doors. Keeps the kitchen looking clutter-free and everyone has a place to find their activities.

2. This is neat. Since I switched to a stainless steel fridge, I’ve lost my bulletin board for notes, calendars and stuff I don’t want to forget. This is a great suggestion!

3. Actually, not a comment, but a question? I need a three panel standing screen. I’m an artist and have run out of wall space in my studiio for display. Does anyone have any suggestions, other than my constructing tthe screen.

4. Hi Dodie,
Maybe try 3 hollow-core doors, (found at home centers like Home Depot), connected with hinges. They come in various widths. They would be sturdy and can be painted any color. Hang art directly on doors or from a wire or cord attached at the top of the door. Hope this helps, Good Luck.

5. This is a great idea. I was just telling my husband I needed a new place to keep important messages. My 16 month old boy, just keeps riping them down every chance he gets.

7. Cathy and readers,

I do the same thing…since having a fridge with panels! Another extension of this idea is I have an “art gallery” for each of my kids inside each large pantry door! They love having a special place to display art work and I enjoy looking at them when I open the doors. Plus it looks neat and clean with the doors are closed!

8. I love this idea. I recently promised myself I would eliminate clutter wherever possible, so this fits right in. You can clean up your whole kitchen, stand back, and when you take a critical look, you notice the cluttered refrigerator door spoils the look.
Thanks Cathy!

9. I also have seen this as an idea to hide the daily clutter. I have used one of my inside cabinet doors and cut a piece of metal flashing cut to fit - this makes it a magnetic message board. You have to be really careful cutting the flashing, it is really sharp. You must use work gloves and a heavy duty pair of clippers specially made for this purpose. Give it a try!

12. Hi Again Romi,
Welcome to the site. Your ideas are great. You can hide a multitude of ideas inside the cupboard doors. I just don’t like seeing clutter on the outside on counters and fridge etc… Thanks for posting!

13. I, too, use the inside of my kitchen cabinet doors to post important information such as emergency telephone numbers, work schedules for the kids, team lists, sport schedules or contact phone information….things that are important that must not be misplaced. When they are no longer needed, I throw them away and replace with new “important” information with a little scotch tape. It keeps me on my toes because I can find the information in a moments notice and it keeps the clutter off the fridge!

14. Hi Annie,
Yes, the inside of the doors is really a great place to hide all the clutter that we all need to have access to on a daily basis. I hate eye clutter on every surface…tooo stressful.
So glad you agree!
Thanks for taking the time to jump in.
