I know that Betty has a photo almost identical to this which she posted recently. I decided to go ahead and use this one as well for a few reasons. First of all, I love these dishes. Second, I love the way this blog connects us all. She took her photo in the East, and here I am in the Midwest. This blog really is a wonderful way to connect HomeGoods shoppers who like to share decorating and product ideas from different places, and with different styles and passions. Finally, in Colonial times the pineapple was the symbol of hospitality. During the summer months when we think of getting together with friends and family, these dishes are designed to make everyone who visits feel like a welcome guest. So, enjoy entertaining this summer, and keep sending us your comments and ideas.
1. Deb, To connect us even further, I’ve seen these beautiful dishes out here in Ca. The world is becoming a much smaller place with the internet.
Its great to share so much with so many over much distance.

8. Margaret, What a great idea. I’ve used primary colors in my kitchen before and it is so refreshing to awaken to in the morning. I have seen lots of roosters for the kitchen, but I don’t remember parrots. Now that you have planted the idea, I am sure several of us can be on the look out. We will let you know . . .

9. I am looking for plates to the Edwardian China Tea Set, it comes in pink, yellow, green and white with pick flowers. My granddaughter would like the plates that go with this tea set. Very lovely and delicate.
Also anymore pieces to the Gracie Bone China Tea Set, White Rose or Iceberg design (it is called both) imported by coastline imports.
I shop in the Poughkeepsie and Kingston Homegoods Stores.
When I e-mail you, a short time later I find my request. If you assist in any way, thank you.EMacBrien
