…DO YOU KNOW HOW LOVED YOU ARE”, was a saying on a little sign in the kids section of HomeGoods. I had to stop and look at all the adorable things on display. I always need a baby shower gift and saw these gingham lined baskets (see pictures). What a cute gift… add some tissue paper in the bottom and arrange a stuffed animal, photo frame, padded hangers, embroidered washcloths etc. in the basket. Purchase a yard of tulle netting to tie up around the whole thing. Attach a satin ribbon with a rattle tied on and what a great gift to give and at a really good price. Do you have any great baby shower gift ideas? Love to hear…

1. I’ve started to wrap my baby gifts in towels. I found one that was a green frog with the head and little feet. It just happened to fit around my gift box perfectly. I went to a dollar store and found some old style baby pins to fasten it shut. I’ve also used regular large bath towels in the baby rooms colors. I did a yellow towel with Winnie the Pooh fabric ribbon purchased at a fabric store.

2. What a cute idea Nan. For the price of wrapping a gift you could easily wrap in something that can be really used, like a cute towel. You could roll up a matching washcloth and fold over the edges to look like a rose for the top of the gift. Or fan fold the washcloth, tie in the center and it would look like a butterfly. The possibilities are endless… LOL. Thanks for the great idea.

While in Naples, Florida last week I saw a lovely child’s rocking chair, with a crown and the words in spanish saying (My little Princess) I cannot find it in my area, is it possible to have it shipped from Florida to Michigan (48138)

6. we just have our first grandchild a baby girl we have all grandsons I saw the picture of the inner child on this web page and wanted to know if they have this in the store in my area ? I think the store is in Delran N.J. I would like to get this for her Baptisim.I think this would be a great gift.The first time my husband and I were in the store we found a wooden highchair that we love, the store has so many things I told my friends about it. I told them that you can spend the hole day and buy alot of things and you won’t spend as much as you would in the big store I’am so glad that we found this store I tell everyone when they ask me where did you get this I just homegoods where else.

9. I am often pleased to see dolls of color in Home Goods. Please keep them coming. It’s great when I can find something unique and special that features children of color. These items are still hard to find.

I think the term “inner child” refers to reverting back to your childhood. seeing and doing things that remind you of your childhood. If I’m not correct on this maybe someone will write in and define it better.
Yes, Its great to see dolls of all colors or ethnicity. A beautiful rainbow would not be so with only one color. HomeGoods does get in some really beautiful dolls…our “inner child” is reflected back to us in their little glass eyes.

11. It would be nice to be able to shop online. This site is not enjoyable to browse. I love the Home Good stores and would love even more to be able to shop from home as the closest store is 45 + miles away.

13. I have a friend with a newborn on the way and saw the “new born” shirt. I have never seen this and is is for babys up to 3 months. Plus, many of the blankets are very soft which is great.

I am trying so hard to find a large fuzzy pink sheepskin rug that I saw at my homegoods for $199.00 for my daughter’s nursery. I went back to get it and it’s gone. Is there any way to find a store that carries it. I’ve called every Homegoods I can think of. Thanks in advance
