“I love summer!” Everything is so relaxed, you can entertain on a moments notice…..simply throw something on the grill.
…just found these adorable votive candle holders at HomeGoods!
I paired them with an arrangement using limes as a base. I thought it turned out pretty well. I also plan to use these as small containers for cocktail sauce! They will be perfect for a “low country boil”
Here’s to making the most of the “lazy days of summer”

2. Thanks Dawn! It must be wonderful getting to see all the new “treasures” as they are unpacked! All of the associates at my HomeGoods are so friendly and helpful….this must be a criteria for working at HG!
Have a wonderful holiday, and thanks again for your kind words!

5. fill your votive holder with a dip for your real artichokes. we use olive oil and vinegar, s&p. also good is basil pesto lightened with sour cream. then put the filled votive holder in your ceramic artichoke. or use them for ketchup and mustard.

6. Thanks for the cute idea Alli. I, too, have used limes in vases to add interest to your arrangement. Plus it brings the color down the vase and right onto the table. I live in Illinois just as Dawn does. I make quite a dent in my “budget” by shopping at Home Goods. I have been on a hunt while decorating my daughter’s room in black toile and a beautiful red dress painting that was truly a “find” at Home Goods. I have two TJ Maxx, one Marshalls, and a Home Goods all within 1/2 from my home! I love it! I have been to everyone of them trying to find coordinating pieces for her room! This store is awesome!

7. Hope I didn’t go on and on! Back to your summer centerpiece-I grow Gerbera Daisies, they are the perfect summer flower to make the instant centerpeice for entertaining. Yellow and red ones along with a flag, make a great 4th of July centerpiece for that barbeque! Happy 4th and thanks again for the of the great ideas Alli!

14. Today I purchased LeBaroque Knives, Spoons & Accessories w/a silver filigree trim and w/varied colored handles. I would love to locate forks to match. Is it possible? (385809, 385857,385983,386047 – C3360 – D82)

My home and wardrobe reflect the extensive shopping at T J Maxx that I have enjoyed for many years. It is my very favorite store!

15. I too love the artichoke candle holders. I was given 3 and have searched other home goods stores in Orlando, Stuart, FL to purchase more. If anyone can tell me what store may still have them, please respond.

The idea to fill with fruits & condiments is a GREAT idea..thank you!

20. Oh my – there’s a HomeGoods opening this Thursday, Sept. 20th in Mansfield Texas and I can’t wait. I love home decor and kitchen accessories. I am almost one year into my new home, and have one room left to tackle, so I’m looking forward to HomeGoods…talking about a kid in a candy store… that’s an understatement when it comes to home decor/accessories. I may need some ideas from you lovely ladies. Thanks for the ideas and inspiration.

21. I too am interested in locating LaBaroque colored forks and or Laguiole mutli forks. I would love to know if anyone has located either of them.

by carolyn — 11/11/07 at 8:40 pm #

22. My advice would be to keep checking back in the store….I have looked for things before and have been pleasantly surprised even months later that they “show up”.
Always a good excuse to go shopping!
Thanks for your comments,
