It is amazing that we have this attraction to the sea, and the sea shells that often are swept ashore by the water waves.  We have a special love and appreciation during the summer; however, we enjoy the beauty throughout the year.

In this remarkable display at HomeGoods, there are intricate designs and all kinds of decorative pieces that have been made with a variety of sea shells of so many different sizes that are absolutely priceless!  This collection is beautiful and contributes to ones enjoyment throughout the year, while it enhances the different aspects of your home.  The unique and lovely replicas of old ships is also a wonderful addition to add to your home decorating.  It’s exciting!  Check it out!  You might see just what you have been looking for.

1. I just love that you’re talking about this, even though summer is half-over (especially here in Connecticut!). I just redesigned my kids bathroom from “rubber duckie” to “beach vacation” because I never want summer to end (and it was time for the ducks to fly away!).

I got towels that look like beach towels (but regular bath size), am using sand pails for storage, and printed dramatic beach prints and framed them in white. The kids love it!

I’m definitely going to find a way to put sea shells into the mix.

Now if I can just find a way to get a REAL beach vacation on my calendar!!!

2. Hi Susan,

Your kids bathroom sounds wonderful!!! I know that your children love every aspect of it. It sounds as though you created an atmosphere that everyone can enjoy. I love the idea of sand pails for storage and printed dramatic beach prints framing them in white. It seems as though you could do layout and store design (smile). It just sounds great! Now, I hope that you have an opportunity to get away to a vacation on the beach and live in the luxury that you have created for your kids. Good luck! You have worked quite hard and deserve the rewards!

3. I too, love the beach themed decorating. My master bedroom in painted in a beautiful, cool turquois blue and I have incorporated plenty of beach themed accessories, some directly from the beach and some from Home Goods. I use large vases on my dresser filled with shells and sand. There is nothing like a relaxing day at the beach!

4. Thanks Betty! Looks like I’m going to get away for a weekend over Labor Day (WITHOUT the kids!). Will hit the coast in either RI or MA. Then I can take NEW ocean pics to frame that will be more meaningful.

5. Hi Susan,

GO FOR IT! You deserve the break and a wonderful vacation. Let us know what great joy you find and the rest that you are able to get. We are happy that you and your husband will get away the Labor Day weekend by yourselves.

Great Fun!!!!

6. Hi Lynn,

Just hearing you talk about the beach scene in your home relaxes me, as well. Your mastser bedroom sounds fabulous! That turquoise blue is a heavenly shade that brings together the sea and the sky. What you can’t find on the beach, HomeGoods will provide it for you. That’s the great part about it, you don’t have to feel that your beach decoration will be incomplete, because you can’t find the appropriate sea shells or themed sea accessories that you seek.

Thanks for your comments! Let us hear from you again.

8. Hi Cathy,

You do have a tremendous way of working with and displaying sea shells and it is very obvious that shells are one of your favorite things. I also love sea shells and love the fact that they are formed in the sea and their beauty is everlasting. You are right, they are one of the simple pleasures.

Thank you Cathy for your comments!

9. Hi Betty,

I loved this post. I am home staging professional in Pennsylvania and I spend so much time at Home Goods that I know all the people that work there by name! I recently staged a model home for a builder in Montgomery County PA and I used some coral and sea shell accents that I found at Home Goods to complete the spa like look in the master bedroom. You can see them at http://www.hartstaging.com

10. Hi Kate Hart,

Thank you for your response! It is amazing how something as simple and natural as sea shells can bring out the beauty in space and a place.

Also, let me say that you do fabulous work!!! I looked at your website and I just love it! I love the way that you convert rooms in a empty house to make it look like a beautiful home. Continue to check out the lovely pieces that you can use for your home staging from HomeGoods and increase the marketability of the homes (smile). Keep in touch with us and let us know of the other great things that you are doing.

16. Hi, being raised part-time in Southern Calif and Hawaii. I am very fond
of the beach and the seashells I have just did my guest bathroom in
my new home in seashells and beach decor with the light blues and it
looks wonderful. The good news is that I bought everything from
Home Goods. That has become my favorite store to shop for all my
home decor. I love the warmth of the store and the customer service
is terrific also. The prices are great too. I even have my husband
shopping with me there and he doesn’t like shopping very much. He does like Home Goods. Thank you so much!!!!! Suze

Your new home must be really lovely! I can just imagine how great everything looks. When you said that you brought everything from HomeGoods, I know that you were able to find some exciting and unique decorating pieces for minimal cost. I can understand that it has become your favorite store for shopping for your home and I am also excited that your husband loves shopping there, as well. I was just at HomeGoods today, after about two weeks and I felt like I had come home after a long vacation. As you know, there is nothing like coming home. I found so many wonderful and amazing additions that my mind was blown!
