My dh went with me to HomeGoods last week. We were looking for a stovetop grill. One that would make those great seared marks on our steaks and burgers. He has been doing much of the cooking at our house lately. YEAH! So, I knew he had something specific in mind. Well, we found his grill immediately! Then as he looked around the store, he suggested we go back and look at the clearance section. We never made it that far, because on our way we passed by the home office area. My dh is a huge Lincoln fan. This bust of Lincoln was in our cart faster than we selected our grill!! He has always been a HG fan vicariously through me, but now I think we have discovered the treasure hunter in him as well.

LOVE IT Do you LOVE IT?

1. WHAT!!!!? You got your dh to willingly go shopping? Wow. I’m impressed. I’m the lone shopper in our home, but sort of like the time by myself…it’s theraputic!

And I agree…you never know what you’re going to find at HG…and I love surprises!

2. I saw a chair at Langhorn store, I fell in love with it, I brought my husband to see it, he loved it too. We turned around to look at the area rugs that will look good with the chair, by the time we made the perfect choice, we turned around to take the chair to the register, it was gone. I went crazy looking for it, but it vanished. I asked the manager to check for me with other stores, but he told me unfortunately, they do not have an inventory system that enable them to do so. Any advise?

3. What’s a dh? Designated Hitter? You’re a baseball gal?

4. Dear Hoda,
We understand that you have been trying to locate a chair. As an off-price retailer, we make every effort to keep our prices low, and our costs down, so that we can pass these savings on to our customers. For this reason, we do not provide a service of tracking merchandise. In addition, we do not have the privilege of ordering specific merchandise from our vendors. To locate the chair, we suggest you continue to check with stores in your area directly. We would be happy to provide you with store locations in your area. If you would like a store list, please call our Customer Service Department directly at 1-800-888-0776.
Thank you!
Sincerely,
HomeGoods Customer Service
