I love this tree! It is one of my favorite decorative items in my home. Because my style tends toward the more Early American/Traditional, my tree is an imitation feather tree. My mom has always liked things to be more modern, so the tree at her house is a a small real tree, cut in the winter and painted white. I thought I would suggest this as a possibility now, because it is a great time of year to find all kinds of ornaments. It is so much fun to change the ornaments out for the various holiidays during the year, or you can even select some that simply represent your likes and interests and leave them up all year long. Have fun, and pass along any ideas you have for seasonal decorating.

1. Dear Deb, I love your feather tree….and I agree changing the ornaments for different Holidays/seasons is a great way to enjoy the tree all year round. I too like antiques and the style of decorating you have in your home….I have an old home it was the family homestead of my husband’s family and I have it decorrated in the manner you have your home…however, my new home in Florida is brand new and a completely different decor..so I have the best of both worlds…I love so many different styles that it is hard for me to tune in to any one….I have also purchased a lot of Florida style decorations for a smaller tree that I have in my older house here in Western New York..I love looking at all those beach related ornaments and remembering my time spent in Florida…thank you for the picture…I enjoyed it and your comments…Margie

2. Thank you Margie, It does sound like you have the best of both worlds. My folks live in Florida, and I do love the beautiful pastels and sea related decorations. What a blessing to be able to live on the family homestead. Not only do you have memories in your decor, but I bet you have them everywhere you look. Thank you so much for sharing a little of your story and decorating style with all of us. Deb

3. Hi Deb,
I love your tree. I can see it being decorated year round with different holiday ornaments. It looks so cute with your wood bench and floral wallpaper. A warm and cozy feel. Enjoy your little tree with the holidays, its a wonderful accent.
