These lovely 10″ candle-holder-lamps (beaded shades included) are two of the precious items that I found at our favorite store.  I got excited, because I realized that they could be used in any room to accommodate a change in the atmosphere.  The beads on the shade makes the lighting soft and warm and provides lovely illumination.  They are  an asset on the dining room table, on the kitchen table, in the living room, in the bedroom, for party usage and decoration (even the bath) etc.  It is endless how this lighting embraces the Fall evenings and the holders add beauty at all times without the lighting.  In truth, as you can see, they are great for any time.  And guess what, these candle- holding- lamps cost less then $30.00!  I was schocked at the low cost! Because of the many places that they  can be used, I decided not to show them in any special place, but to let you decide where you would place them in your home.  They are a wonderful find and they make a great gift!

1. the word “schocked” is actually spelled SHOCKED. I proofread thousands of documents for my husband and hundreds of scientific papers….You may delete this message after correcting the spelling.

2. Thank you Carol,

That is truly my mistake! I know better then you would realize how to spell SHOCK. Thanks for making me aware that I made this error.

Thanks loads,

3. I think it was rather rude of Carol to correct Betty in this public forum. There’s a well known saying, “If you can’t find anything good to say, don’t say anything at all.” The comment totally took away from Betty’s message, and is an unnecessary distraction. Couldn’t Carol have chalked up the mistake to a typo, and leave it alone. Many a book has been published by famous authors with typos, and they sell like wildfire. So why can’t a typo in a blog be excused. Just had to comment. It just struck me as RUDE.

4. Hi Jaz,

Thank you so much for your support! I have to believe that Carol didn’t mean it the way that it sounded. It is always good to know that there are persons like yourself who care enough to respond, to what you conceive to be unfair treatment/actions.

Thank you again for your kindness! Continue to check back with us at any time. I feel that, although we don’t know each other, I can call you “friend.”

5. Hi Betty;
I agree that is was rude actually mean for Carol to go off about such a small spelling mistake. There are more important things going on without majoring on minor things. I commend you for your tact. She should take the hint.
God Bless You

7. Hi Betty,

I found these two lamps at Marshall’s and bought them. You should have shown us how they look when they are lit and the room is rather dark. I couldn’t believe how beautiful and warm they were with the light coming through the beads. My husband is so pleased that I found them. We had guest for dinner and they went wild over these lamps. Everyone wants to buy them now. The light was perfect. My husband and I put them in our bedroom and they were so pretty. You should have shown them with the candles lit and the lights out. What beauty.

8. Carol….
please tell me you have better things to do than correct someones spelling? Really….donate your time to an animal shelter, or assisting the elderly, something positive. It will make you feel better about yourself and is a much more positive approach to boosting your self esteem other than attempting to reduce others!

Betty,
Great lamps, it is wonderful to add things to the home that “wow” you when entering a room! Happy shopping! Have a great day.

ps: I think I checked my spelling on this, feel free to let me know if I mis-spelled anything!

9. Hi Kelley,

Thank you for the support and comments regarding the lamps. These are really great looking lamps, especially when you use them for special occasions. I have had difficulty trying to find them for people who have asked me to get that particular style for them.

And Kelley, your spelling is just fine (smile). Thank you for your kindness! Let us hear from you again soon.

10. Hi Carla,

I am so pleased that you purchased these same lamps and that you found them to be more then you and your husband expected. I purchased mine from HomeGoods. As you possibly know, Marshalls is a sister company and they will have some of the same products at different times. People have been asking me where they might find them and if not at HomeGoods, where. I am glad that you said that you got yours from Marshalls. Now I can refer people accordingly.

You are right, I should have shown the lamps in a darkened room so that others on the blog could have seen the beauty of these lamps with the light coming through the beads. It is a lovely and memorable sight.

Thank you for your support and sharing! It is always great to hear from you. We anticipate hearing from you again soon.

11. I think all of you women are very silly! Each one of you that critisized Carol is just as (petty) as she is! You women are just a bunch of “HENS”!!! You just can’t get together and just be nice, can you? TW :)

12. Some people have such a bad self concept that it makes them feel better when they can put someone else down. I can’t believe the tone of the message and the statement about deleting the message when the spelling has been corrected. When I think of the time and energy you give to make this site a success, I can’t believe the entire email. I have been reading your wonderful comments and tips ,periodically, for a while now and I beg you to continue even if there is a typo every now and then. You provide a service that touches the lives of many who are simply looking for great ideas at the end of a long day. God bless and keep those creative ideas coming.

13. Hey Betty, very nice lamps and love the bureau they are on. I seem to have a “thing” with lamps. I love the look, the unique ones, tall, short, beads, crystals but, having no room for them, i usually manage to find for my girlfriends in my travels and they are delighted to take off my hands. Very nice. Lynn

14. Hi Gwen,

Thank you so much for your supportive comments! You must know that I am not offended and have not been. I don’t believe that she meant it the way that it sounded. Thank you for your belief in what we do. That means a lot to all of us. Keep sharing with us. You help us more then you know.

And Gwen, may GOD bless you!

15. Hi Lynne,

Thank you for your great comments! As you have possibly guessed, I also love these lamps. I only wished that I had shown their beauty in the dark of the room so that their total look could be digested properly. The cabinet that they are on and the vase are both from HomeGoods. Ironically, they were purchased at different times and I had no idea when the cabinet was purchased that I had a vase with the same colors in another room in the house. Sometimes the same color will be found in one room after another throughout your home, making you aware that there are colors that may be dominant in our heart and your mind without your being aware of it.

Again, I Thank you! May we hear from you again soon.
