Instead of “frost on the pumpkin” we have “ash” from the fires here in Southern California. As I write this, a constant layer of dust keeps returning to my keyboard, (and its not from poor housekeeping). Also, every other surface. A small price to pay considering the loss to so many. We all hope the worst is over and my heart goes out to all who have lost much.
I’m looking forward to Halloween and seeing all of those cute little ghosts and goblins ringing my doorbell and chanting , “Trick or Treat”…..a great sign of some normalcy!
Here’s WITCHING you a Happy Halloween!
1. Hi Cathy,
It is so hard to comprehend what thousands of families have had to experience with the loss of everything that has occured from this all consuming fire. At least the winds are dying down and the firemen have a better chance of controlling the fire and keeping it from further destruction. We are all so pleased that your families home did not have to suffer this enormous loss. We pray that, in some way, those who have lost so much will receive an increase four times greater. I guess in all of it, many of us would not be as strong as many of you.
As we began to celebrate Halloween, I feel that this is truly a time to be thankful that so many lives were spared. We keep you all in prayer.

3. Hi Betty,
Thank you so much Betty for your heart warming thoughts. This was truly a tragedy for many. Luckily, not many lives were lost and homes can be rebuilt. Thank you again for your compassionate and heart felt response.

6. Thanks so much Alli,
Prayers are always needed in times like these. I’m sure many were answered. I hope the drought out in your area of the country will be over soon. We’ll pray for you too.
