As I was walking my dog today, I happened to notice all the beautiful fall and harvest wreaths that were adorning my neighborhood….I think it makes a nice statement to hang a wreath on your front door for the different seasons. A wreath serves as a “sneak peek” for what lies beyond the door…..a hint to your particular decorating style.
What beautiful door wreaths. You live in a pretty neighborhood. There’s something about a door decoration, it makes a home feel so welcoming and warm. Thanks for sharing the pictures!
I love these door wreaths! They are absolutely gorgeous! When I look at them, I think that behind those doors are families that care. I love this time of year and the transition that is reflected all around us- the beautiful changing leaves, the falling leaves, the briskness of the air, the cleansing of the environment, the entrance of the festive times for families, etc.
I love door wreaths and these are so pretty ~~ I love making them too. They just make the front of a house look so ‘homey’. This is also my favorite time of the year up north here in Pa., with the trees changing colors and that ‘Fall’ smell in the air. Thanks for sharing.

I visited HomeGoods in Seal Beach, California and loved the store. There is a T J Maxx on Va. Beach Blvd., near my home in Va Beach, VA, but I believe a Home Goods store like the one in Calif., without clothing, would be very successful. People in my area seem to patronizse discount stores very much. My area is a military area as well as a very popular resort beach area. If anyone is interested, there is a great location, very large in a very busy area. As a matter of fact, it isn’t too far from T J Maxx, but without carrying the clothing, it would be considered another type of business. It might be interesting to look into it.

Very inviting! Thanks for sharing the pics! I have the traditional white colonial with black shutters and a red door…not great for traditional fall colors…but quite a backdrop for winter decor! Time to shop!
I’m curious, though. In research I did for an ezine article regarding staging a front door, I found that here in CT, about 65-70% of front doors have screens on them. Sort of changes the look of the wreath…any ideas (other than taking them down?).

Susan,
You are right…your home will look like a Norman Rockwell painting for Christmas….I LOVE a red front door! As far as screens, there are a few in NC as well, but wreaths do not have to be confined to the front door….they can be placed on the side of the house right by the door, or on both sides flanking the door….they also look nice on windows or lamp posts, or even fences…..hope this helps, and as always thanks for your comments. It is always nice to hear from you!
Take care and happy decorating,
alli
Thank you for your post. Although at this time there are no plans to open a HomeGoods store in the Virginia Beach area, we have passed your comments on to our Real Estate Department for their review and attention.
Thanks,

I have had the same thing happen to me…..I enjoyed watching the family of birds grow and i was actually a little sad when they fled the nest….
Enjoy your holiday and thanks for visiting the site!

10. Hi Ali,
Ahhh, you’ve given me some more ideas! Plus we have an old tree in the front with uplighting…an oversized wreath would look great there! I’m on it!
Have a great day,
Susan
