In keeping with Cathy’s idea of black and white,I wanted to share with you an idea that my daughter had for her new condo….she found these wonderful plates and hung them over her bed. I thought the end result was fabulous! OK call me a proud Mom, and I say “guilty”

2. Thanks Susan….
You are too kind. I am very proud of her. She has her own sense of style and helps me a lot as well. The wall color is a historic color and it is quite soothing.
Thanks for your support of the blog and I am sure we will chat again soon.
warmest regards,

5. This is so nice Alli,

Your daughter did a great job of displaying these dishes. I love the black welted button pillows and the spa blue color on the walls and pillow. A nice composition. I do love the high contrast of black and white. It never is dated, its a neutral and any color goes with it, it makes a dramatic statement, its crisp and clean so line and shape are defined. Always a classic.
You taught your daughter well Alli,
Thanks for the peek.

7. Thanks Julie.
The quilt and shams are actually white…the photo just makes them look like a shade of soft pink. Pink is my favorite as well.
Thanks for visiting and come again soon.

8. Hi Alli,

I love the plates and arrangement on the wall. Very creative and matches beautifully with black and white on the bed. Where did she find the plates? That gives me an idea for the wall behind our bed, which is currently bare. I also thought that the bed linens were pink and black, which made me say, “oooh!”

9. Thanks Amy,
She found the ones hanging with ribbon at an antique store…she added the ribbon, any plate with a filligre or cut out would work. The black and white ones she found at TJ Maxx. She really “lucked up” with that find.
Talk about a “Maxx Moment”. She had been looking and looking for the perfect thing for over her bed. Good luck with your search and Happy decorating!
