After spending Thanksgiving at our cottage, I just could not resisit putting some Christmas decorations out….I am not going to do a big tree there, because we are pinched for space. The nautical decorations are so tempting, it is hard to hold back! I found this little “twig tree” a couple of years ago, and I just love it! It boasts shells, vintage ornaments, dried flowers, and anything else that hits my fancy.
These nautical Santas were hand painted by a dear friend of mine, so of course they had to have a special place….The brass plate welcomes visitors at our front door.
Who knows, Santa may just sail on in to this harbor…….

3. Alli,

This is so wonderful! I love the tree that is symbolic of so many personal and loving memories, the nautical santa that was painted by your friend, the welcome plate at your door and all of the other decorations. This warms the heart and Your humor always embraces everything that you do. This is such a magical time and it welcomes celebration.

6. Just perfect for a beach house Alli,
Love the fishing net and all the cute ornaments. Also nautical Santas are great ! We have a lot of Surfing Santas here. Santa can be anything you want. The entry looks very welcoming as well. What a wonderful place to go to for the Holidays.
Enjoy, and have a carefree coastal Christmas!!

11. Dear Alli, I just love your cottage by the sea…I have the same twig christmas tree on display here in my diningroom in my older home here in western New York..I am returning to Florida for the winter on Dec. 27th so I didn’t put up my big tree this year…I also only put out 4 of my 12 crates of Christmas items I have collected over the years..I love santas and the ones you have are fantastic!!! Recently I started collecting Florida style ornaments and I just love them..have the very best Holiday season and continue to share all of your decorating ideas..I just love your style….Margie

12. Margie,
So good to hear from you my friend….I know exactly what you mean, I had enough decorations to do both houses! scary! LOL….It is nice to be able to have different looks. We are going to spend the holidays at our townhouse, so that will be nice. I put my ‘big” tree there, and it is almost complete. I will post about it very soon. As I mentioned before, I use a “faux” tree, due to my daughter’s allergies. I guess it is a “good thing” because the branches are strong enough to hold all the ornaments.
I hope you have submitted your entry to be a “guest blogger’….you would be great! and I would love to see your beautiful homes. Think about it and the submission form is on the site.
Have a fabulous holiday, and thank you for your kind comments and loyalty to the blog!
Merry Christmas!
