To continue the thoughts that Cathy shared for quick ways to change your artwork for the holidays, I want to share one of my annual traditions. I will take beautiful invitations and Christmas cards, buy lovely frames that coordinate with my decor and there you have it . . . gorgeous and inexpensive art for the season, and they evoke precious memories as well. What do you do with the special cards and invitations you receive?

1. Great idea Deb…..
It is hard to part with special cards, i have boxes of them that I have collected over the years, I am going to go thru them and find some suitable for framing.
Thanks for sharing!

2. This is really a great idea Deb,

There are some really gorgeous Holiday cards we get, and we hate to throw them away after the Holidays. This is such a great idea to frame these little works of art. Take in one step further…Buy an oversized red or gold or silver mat and frame to fit… a large piece of art. Or frame 3 or 5 of the same card or series and hang on the wall or line up across the mantle. This would also make a great gift to someone as well.
Great idea!

3. You’re welcome Alli, I agree! I have cut some to use as gift tags, but then they are gone. I remember years ago our moms and grandmas had crafts and projects they made out of old Christmas Cards, but I’m having trouble remembering what they were. I wonder if anyone out there can remember any?

4. Thanks Cathy,

I don’t have space for large artwork, but that is a great idea for anyone who really wants to change their decor for the Christmas season. Mats come in so many beautiful colors that you can really make some fabulous art with minimal expense.

5. Hi Deb,

I saw this beautiful display and wonderful selection of framed cards earlier and I meant to comment; however, my primary statement was to say that I love the way that you have connected the cards in a very creative and exciting way. This has been a hectic two days, but I wanted to let you know just how lovely this design is and it reflects the warmth that you bring to all that you do.

Have a happy and wonderful Christmas and receive the blessings that flow!
