Very often we try to determine how we will use the table dressing/scape that we have in place when the Christmas holidays come to visit.  Finding storage space is becoming a problem.  I chose to take the red diagonally designed table runner, the two vases that hold the white roses and peonies, the Sparkle Gems that I was able to purchase from a craft shop, the decorations that are included in my Christmas home decor, a gold angel, and came up with this Christmas Table dressing/ tablescape.  The Sparkling Gems can remain in the vases throughout the year if you choose to do so.

3. Hi Cathy,

Thank you so very much! I really appreciate your comments and support. I have gotten so tired of trying to find space for storage of non-holiday items until after New Years that I decided to revamp/revise and share. Again, I thanks.

Continual blessings to you!

7. Hi Betty, We have a large family, a lot of friends and a large dining room, and when we have dinners, I have found that place cards make it so much easier to entertain, as guest have only to find their names on the place cards. But I don’t use cards, I use Christmas ornaments during the holidays, glass balls of the color to match the decor, and I write the names of the guests on the balls with a marker in gold or silver. At other times, I use Magnolia or colorful Autumn leaves and write on them with a black magic marker. During the Easter season, decorated eggs look beautiful. I am sure you can think of many other ways to use this idea.
It also makes the meal not quite so “formal” and is a good conversation starter!
Thanks to you and all of you wonderful bloggers who are so generous in sharing your ideas and thoughts.

8. Hi Joy,

That is an excellent idea! I love the idea of the Christmas balls that match the color theme. I love the idea of the names of the guests being printed or written in beautiful graphic type font on the Christmas balls rather then the place cards. Just to think that you developed all of these excellent ideas that has to make the guests feel extra special when sharing in a dinner party with you. Writing the names of guest on magnolia, autumn leaves, easter eggs, etc. These are tremendous means that help make you the “hostess with the mostest.” Thank you so very much for taking the time. Happy New Year!!!
