I like the idea of putting Christmas wreaths in places in the home as well as on the outside doors and windows. I like for guests to come to my home and be greeted by Christmas wreaths as another means of celebration. For me, one of my favorite places for hanging a Christmas wreath is on the back of the front door. So, once guests are greeted by the wreath on the front door, when they enter my home and close the door, they see another wreath on the inside of the front door. This is also good for guests to see when leaving the home. This is my way of continuing the celebration and extending welcome.

Another place where I hang the Christmas wreath is on the fireplace screen. It provides an excellent opportunity for sharing in the decoration of the home and contributes to the holiday celebration. In a room where you do not have a tree, it makes it very festive and you really don’t recognize the absence of the tree. My overall concept was to make certain that I maintained the color coordination, but more then anything enhance the celebration opportunities.

(On top of the wall decor is garland with the same holiday colors and flowers for Christmas decoration.)
You might consider hanging very small Christmas wreaths on bedroom doors; a medium to a large wreath on the wall over the fireplace; very small wreaths on bathroom doors; a medium to large wreath on the wall in the livingroom or other places in the home where family and guests congregate, on the inside windows of the special rooms that family and guests congregate, etc. Share with us what are the other places where you might hang your wreaths inside of the home or would you even consider hanging a wreath inside the home?
1. The wreaths are beautiful. They really put me in the spirit to celebrate Christmas. Thank you and enjoy your holiday!

2. Hi Richelle,
The wreath on the back of the front door has been a tradition for many years. Even though the wreaths have been on the front of the doors and windows at many homes for almost one month, the inside is rarely mentioned when speaking of Christmas wreaths. I am pleased that this decor heightens your Christmas spirit.
It is always good to hear from you! Let us hear from you again soon. Most of all, have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy, Happy New Year!!!

3. We just saw this in the most recent Better Homes and Gardsens. I was quite surprised to see how the wreath is now put througout the house. I had never seen wreaths on the walls in the living room and inside windows before, but this was so different and we all took a page from this book. We went to a Christmas party this holiday and this was the first time I saw em around the house. What a beauitiful sight they made. I couldn’t get ovefr how pretty every thing was. I hope that your Christmas was as good as mine was. Have a happy New Year. Cailyn

4. Hi Cailyn,
I hope that you had a Merry, Merry Christmas! I am so glad that you mentioned that you saw this kind of display of wreaths in Better Homes and Gardens and at a friends home. I decorated a home this holiday and decided to do some different kinds of decorations in the home and found that people who attended a party at this family’s home were quite excited about this different approach. The decorating was far more extensive and we just about brought out HomeGoods. They were all claiming to come out of the box for 2008 and do some different things in decorating.
Have a remarkable, prosperous and blessed New Year!

7. I live in Florida and after moving here found out early on that Floridians decorate to the hilt at Christmas!!! I have a wreath for every room, including the bedrooms and baths. When family and guests close their bedroom doors or go into the bathroom and close the door there is a wreath that is color and theme coordinated (nautical, teddy bears for my daughter, wooden trucks on my son’s, etc.). I even have one on the door coming from the garage into the house – it has plastic tools that were my son’s when he was little.
I love making wreaths and give them as gifts for Christmas, Easter, Thanksgiving & even Halloween! My sister-in-law’s house is North Georgia is mostly primitive antiques and she loves buttons so the picture I’m sending is a wreath I made her a few years ago – our Nephew graciously displayed it for us!

8. Hi Retha,
This sounds fabulous!!! You sound like you should have a business making specialized wreaths. I, too, use wreaths throughout the year. I keep an angel wreath on my front door. People tend to buy a lot of wreaths for special holidays and seasons. However, if you did decide to start a specialized wreath business that would make wreaths available for any and every occasion, you would have a tremendous business opportunity to sell your wreaths through all kinds of boutiques and other specialized furnishing and home decoratiing stores. I would love to see some of your wreaths. You indicated that your nephew was helping you to send a picture of one, but we never received it. Tell him to try again.
Good luck to you in your wonderful business (we anticipate that it will become a business). Let me know how you make out. Thank you so very much for sharing.

10. Hi Retha,
I am sorry! In order for you to be able to share your wreaths, they must be along with something that you have purchased from HomeGoods and this would go under “Customer Finds.” You could show your purchase and then share about the wreath/s that you have made. I hope that this time it works.
One on the best things in the world that anyone can do is make money doing something that they love. Then, it is not work. It is now pleasure and you are making money doing something pleasurable. Your talent is exciting! I am hopeful that this time it works so that we can see your wreaths with your HomeGoods Customer Finds.
Good luck! Let us hear from you soon.
