Twas a night before Christmas
and all through the home.
Not a creature was stirring
cuz the baking was done.

The apron and mitts
were hung on the hook.
In hope no more cookies
needed to cook.

The sweet treats were placed
on Holiday dishes.
To be given to friends
to wish them good wishes.

Some cookies were different
and some were the same.
So I whistled and shouted
and called them by name.

Now, Banana Nut cookies,
Raspberry cream cheese,
On Chocolate Chip Oatmeal,
and Sugar Kiss, please.

There were Butter Pecan Balls,
and Cranberry Bread,
and a few bits of candy
to add to the spread.

The plates, they were filled
and wrapped with a bow.
In hopes they would like them,
you just never know.

I sprang to my van
to my team…there were none,
I delivered the cookies
and had all the fun.

But I heard them exclaim
as I drove out of sight,
Merry Christmas to all
now its time for a bite !

Have a sweet and fattening Christmas…you can diet next year !!

2. Thanks so much Deb,

No more cookie baking for me for a long time. I eat too much of the dough, Its sometimes better than the cookies. Something about baking cookies though, that so Homey and comforting. The smells, the mixing, the flour everywhere, OH MY!
Enjoy your Christmas preparations .It may be a lot of work but the memories are in the making and giving.
Merry Christmas to you Deb,
Cathy

12. Thank you Betty,

Expert!! I wish! It’s just fun to try things, sometimes you succeed…more often you don’t. Just keep trying..some things are bound to turn out once in a while. LOL.
You’re so funny… Rachel Ray and Oprah…I’m happy just to watch them on TV.
Hope you had a nice Christmas with your family.

13. When I saw all the delicious food gifts on the table I was thinking “personalizing” them with the gift-giver’s name, message and cute design. What a great idea to have food gift boxes with a theme and a message. No need to take the plates or tupperware home! They offer them in different colors and sizes and for different food gifts from cake & candy to larger boxes to accomodate baking needs: You can see them here:
