Have you considered making gifts that you could give to a love one, a friend, a family member or others from towels? Would this even be on your agenda? The best part about it is that the use of the towels could make a great gift. To be in sync with your bathroom, you can make towel wraps to match. To simplify this process for Valentines Day, I chose the color of white that will generally be acceptable by both males and females. These are thick and fluffy towels that have a lovely pattern that are great wrapped around the body or hanging on the towel rack.
What do you need:
2 Towels
Velcro ( That is permanent when glued and gets stronger as it is washed)
Scissors
Thread
Decorative Red Hearts (non-bleeding)
Measuring Tape
Seam Binder (Thick for the towel material)

Some persons will measure with the towel around their waists and use that as their gauge for determining where to put the velcro. It might be necessary to use the tape measurer and cut off the towel accordingly. If you don’t have to, don’t. Don’t forget to bind the cut edges with the the thick tape-like seam binder, if you should cut the towel. The Towel Wrap or Bath Wrap for the woman goes under the arm and over the breast. The Towel Wrap or Bath Wrap for the man goes around the waist.
These are easy, lovely gifts to make and they are great gifts for any occasion. Tell us about yours. Tell us what you made for yourself or others to match the decor in your bath or some other room.
1. Betty,
My mother brought me and my husband a few gifts a few years ago with the matching towels, bed linen and the matching wraps for me and my husband. They were beautiful and we loved them so much we wore tem out. I have been trying to see where I could get the wraps. Most of them cost too much. I would like to get towels to make wraps that woulld match our towels that we have in our bathroom. That would be just right for me and my husband. Where did you get these towels? I like the texture and I like the design. I cant get anythng too fancy for my husband, but I want to keep the decoration of our home in mind when I get the towels and make them. This is so easy. I can not believe hat I didnt think of it. Does Homegoods sell towels? I have never seen them there. Thank you. Rachel

2. I absolutely Love this site! What a Great idea to make personal dish and bath towels for your honey. The possibilities are endless. Giving bath towels to your sweetheart is a personal way of showing how much you care. It can also mean it’s a hint to say you wish to spend some private time with them in a bubble bath. The customizing you do to your towel will certainly tell the story. It’s so expressive and descriptive and fun. Another great way to show your feelings towards your loved one is to go to the site http://www.mydovechocolate.com and enter Dove’s “Expressions of Love†contest for a chance to win a 5.58 carat 21K dollar “Baby’s Breath Diamond Necklaceâ€. Simply describe how you feel about your sweetheart in an emotional and creative way for a chance to win this lovely bauble to cherish always. This is such a personal idea because it is giving of your time and yourself. Your mate will love that you took the time and care to express how you feel about them. I work for the company so I have an inside track. And don’t you want to show your Valentine how much you care?

3. Hi Rachel,
You are right! These Towel Wraps or Bath Wraps can be so comfortable and ever so useful. Well, this design is quite easy and they take so little time that you won’t believe that you waited so long to do it (smile). I purchased the towels from my favorite and trusted store, HomeGoods. These towels are very plush Egytian Cotton and they have a wonderful twill in the pattern that gives them style. Even though they are without a lot of decoration, the design of the towels gives them a beautiful look. HomeGoods has a wonderful selection and a very wide selection of towels all colors, descriptions and designs. These towels probably would have cost about $16.00 or $17.00 dollars a piece at a high-end store, because of the quality. However, they only cost $7.99 each.
Good luck to you and let us know how you made out making your husbands wrap and your own for Valentines Day.
Happy Valentines Day!!
