Lanterns are now so exciting! The styles are so versatile and glamorous. At one time, the lanterns were used to provide lighting for the outside and merely used inside when there was no other means of light. Now, the lanterns are so beautiful and vary in style, color and design to fit the interest, decor and/or needs that the owner hopes to fulfill. They can be used on the outside or the inside of the home. All of the lanterns that you see here are lit by candles. Some look as though they were made in medieval times, which adds to the beauty and glamour.

These lanterns have beautiful stained glass, varying colored glass, with all kinds of artistically designed covers. Some of these are hung in various places in and out of your home or put in specific places in your home. With the lighting from the candle, you have a beautiful and glorious glow that can add enormously to almost anyplace in or outside.

Look at the beautiful design of the bottles and the tops, that provide an escape hatch for the smoke. And, with fragrance candles, it makes for the most lovely of evenings or times. Imagine the candle light in these lanterns that sit on tables, mantles, or on various pieces of furniture in your home. Imagine how beautiful the light would be coming through this gorgeous glass.

The two cone-design lanterns in front are those that hang. They can hang in your bathroom, bedroom, family room, maybe in some living rooms, in gazebos, on terraces, kitchens and any other place that you might deem necessary to enhance the environment and get that glorious, glamorous atmosphere.

Enjoy the silver/metal tops that grace the bottom of the lantern that hangs and the two other lanterns that will highlight any room or outside. What about the color? Wow!!

Did you ever believe that you would see the glamour of these lanterns?
It’s all in the stainglass. These are both hanging lanterns. Imagine the beautiful colors in concert as the you lounge in your bath, in your bedroom, in your family room, in your music room, etc. You have the opportunity to have it all come to life for you. Which would you prefer to glamorize your home?
1. Hello Betty,
You always find the most wonderful and interesting things. This collection of lanterns is amazing. I love all the shapes, styles and materials used. There’s something so romantic about a flickering light from a lantern. Some of these would be great outside when entertaining at night. The cute cone lanterns would be great hanging as pendent lights over an island or bar area.
I like many of them, don’t make me choose! They would make a great gift for anyone as well.
I’ve noticed you have a great artistic eye, in the art you choose for you home as well as what you show all of us. Thanks for sharing your talent and passion for art and design.
All The Best!

2. Hi Cathy,
Thank you so much for your wonderful comments! As you were, I was struck by their unusual beauty and the romantic aura that comes with them. These are new and exciting and will be an asset for any home. Yes, they would be great as pendent lights over an island or bar area. In fact, a house that I am working in has lights shaped like these in the kitchen over the kitchen table. Again, I agree that they make great gifts for multiple occasions. Thank you so much for all that you see. You are such a visionary woman.

7. Hi Dina,
I know that you have heard from Katie from HomeGoods Customer Service; however, you did ask about the cost of the cone- shaped lanterns. The cone-shaped were about $12.99. The cost of all of these beautiful lanterns ranged from $9.99 to $19.99. I was in a high-end store that had several of these lanterns ranging from $40.00 up to $89.00. They were the same lanterns and the cost was unbelievably different.

8. Hello Dina,
I’ve been looking for days on the internet for a glass cover to an old lantern which was converted to an electric light. I’ve been looking for lantern’s in my area. IMy mission is to collect flameless lanterns and candlelights to create a cozy atmosphere in my home. I live in a renovated barn and we are forbidden to use candles. Have you run across electric lantern or candles in your travels to Home Goods?

9. Hi Anne,
Just the idea of the renovated barn, sounds great ! Anne, I must say that I have not heard about the electrical lanterns. However, you can get the flameless candles from Michaels store and the gorgeous lanterns that can hold these flameless candles are in HomeGoods. This combination can be superb! Let us know how you make out! We would love to know.
