It’s hard to believe we’re closing in on Easter. (Seems like we just had Christmas). I think Easter is early this year, and I’m behind schedule. I keep seeing the cutest Easter and Spring decorations in all the stores, so I thought I’d pull out a few things to get in the mood.

I love all the flowers of spring, so, that was my table inspiration. The tablecloth is some leftover fabric I had from a decorating job. Its a square with a hemmed edge. The dishes are some everyday white ones with a small checked border. The small dishes on top are some I had hanging on the wall that I wasn’t using anymore, (yes, I washed them). I have hand painted floral Asian eggs in Asian tea cups at each place. I’ve had them for many years and love to look at their intricate details.

The flowers are just what I have blooming in my yard. I like the “unarranged” feel to them. A handful of yellow and purple Daisies, some Bougainvillea, and some heavenly Jasmine growing on the fence (ummm, the smell). They are set in a white ceramic basket fresh from the garden.

The weather has been beautiful here. I may set up a table out in the yard if the weather is good on Easter. Just seeing the Azaleas in bloom, the scent of Jasmine in the air, and the birds chattering in the budding trees is what makes spring so wonderful.

Here’s wishing you a Happy Easter and sensational spring!

1. Beautiful table! I’m jealous of your blooming Azalea bushes. We have nothing blooming here yet (Chicago) except for snow (blech). I’m so ready for spring to arrive!

2. Hang in there Robin from Chicago,
Spring is on its way. We are lucky here in southern California. We have flowers year round, but when spring comes, it explodes with color.
I hope the snow melts soon there. I know you’ll really enjoy and appreciate what nature has in store for you.
Happy Spring!

3. WOW! That is your table?? As Candice would say, “How divine!” Those pretty pictures make me want to do something “Eastery,” that’s for sure. I would have never thought that you could use such pretty spring colors with the color scheme you have in your dining room, but, boy, was I wrong.

4. Thanks so much Janice,

Now you’ll have to get your Easter stuff out to decorate with all your new interiors. Sometimes I just decorate the table with things I like or have and not worry if it goes with the room. It’s nice to have a little change of color scheme once in a while.
Yes, we all love Candice! She’s my favorite on HGTV.
Take Care.

6. Thanks Julie,

Sorry you got snow again, Spring is on its way. Are you ready for Easter? It just seems a little early for me. It seems earlier each year…next year we can celebrate Easter and St, Patricks Day all at one time. LOL.
Happy Easter!

8. Hello Janice,

Thanks, The large dishes are …Crown Rego by Oneida and the small potted floral dishes are…Claire Murray, Sukura, Potted Primrose pattern.
The Oneida plates were a gift from my sister and the small ones I think I got at HomeGoods. Check online for availability. Google both.
Thanks for asking.

10. Hello Andrea,

Thank you for your nice remarks. I used to live up near you in Upland. Beautiful area! Your Tea Party business sounds wonderful.
You are looking for some ideas to market your business…
The first thing that came to mind was… garden tea parties. The weather is so beautiful and flowers are in bloom. People love to be outside especially to dine. Could you contact some historic sites, botanical parks, gardens, or outdoor areas of hotels or even outdoor malls. You could tour the site or shop first and then meet for the tea party after at the site. I’m sure the proprietors would welcome the business and your business would benefit as well. Just an idea…
Does anyone else have some ideas for Andrea?
We always get great ideas from our bloggers. Check back Andrea, I’m sure some great marketing minds will write in.

Good luck with your business.
