There are some absolutely beautiful floral designs I’ve seen lately. The elegant simplicity and line of many of these pieces have been elevated to living sculpture status. It’s the unpretentious, unarranged, uncomplicated simplicity that is so compelling in these designs.

These are faux floral “designs,” (not “arrangements,” flowers don’t need arranging, they are perfect as is.) Of course, live flowers are most desirable, but, there are some amazing faux designs that are so realistic and lifelike, one can be fooled. I had to touch these to know for sure.
As spring time entertaining commences, any of these beautiful designs would be an elegant addition to any gathering.

Whether real or faux, the beauty of flowers is unsurpassed. They bring life and beauty to a room. Most of all, they draw you in and make you SMILE.

1. I love them all, but the last is my favorite So simple and pretty. Speaking of flowers, have you seen the baskets, that are flat on the back side, which you hang on the front door to hold flowers, etc. I saw one of those over the weekend and could have kicked myself for not getting it. Wouldn’t it look beautiful filled with something bright and summery, to compliment chair cushions or whatever else is on the porch? Have you ever done anything like that, Cathy?

2. Hi Janice,

The last one, twigs and tulips, is a nice design. (too bad it’s a little out of focus…sorry). I love the first one. Great line.
Yes, I’ve seen the baskets that hang on a door. I’ve seen them in metal as well as natural materials. They would make a welcoming addition to any door. I need something new on my door this year…looking for something a little different…

3. Hi Cathy,
I, too, am impressed with all the natural looking faux florals that are available now - especially the faux orchids. Orchids seem to make a big statement without being too overwhelming, plus they look great with any style of decorating, and you can find them in colors ranging from white to purple! Home Goods always has great options for faux florals.
Happy Spring

4. Hello Carolyn,

Yes, you are so right. The faux orchids have been a real assett to home decoration, for all the reasons you gave and more… Simple, elegant, colorful, nice height, style versatility, sculptural etc. Just buy good quality, realistic looking ones for the most impact. I agree, HomeGoods has some beautiful designs to choose from.
Thanks so much for adding to the subject.
Happy Spring to you too.

5. I like the floral arrangements though I have been leaning toward the idea of using the fruit arrangements, such as apples and citrus. Apples especially, there is one large enough to fill the corner of my den I am debating on purchasing. Some grape arrangements aere also nice only I find the kitchen for me is the best place for those.

6. Hello Chandler,

I really love the fruit designs as well as the floral also. I’ve seen many fruit and vegetable designs in living areas as well as kitchens. They look wonderful anywhere. Just a touch of nature in a room brings life and interest to the space. Leave it out…the room looks dead.
