It is such a great feeling to have your windows and doors free of obstruction- no drapes to pull to the side, no curtains to open, no horizontal or vertical blinds that require work to open and keep clean. But, during the day and evening the windows are free of any kind of obstruction and clear and brignt to celebrate the beauty of the outside and to invite the outside inside of your home. Well, you can have that freedom and excitement with these new designer windows called “Between-the-Glass.” But with this interesting name, is an interesting window.

These windows allow you to have the openness that you want, but it also gives you the privacy that you might require. “Between-The-Glass” Window Fashion is tucked blinds, fabric shades, grills tucked between panes of glass. These windows are fabulous! Though they are open to the outside visually, there is a little handle to the right that enables you to cover these panes for privacy in the evening if you should wish to do so- as you can see below-

You don’t have to worry about cleaning blinds, curtains, or shades, because they are between the window panes. You clean the windows as usual and you will always have those sparkling windows, with the encased covering that eliminates much of the work and allows you to see the beauty of the outside, without interuption. These windows are energy efficient, easy to clean, low maintenance, extra tight seal, you have reduced allergens, snap-in “Between-The-Glass” blinds, fabric shades, grills, etc. As easy as they are to snap in, they are just as easy to remove. Contrary to a lot of other window dressings, this “Between-The-Glass” decor is protected from dirt and damage. This is truly a wonderful addition if you decide to gift your home with new windows. I love them!!!

1. Hi Betty,
This is a great idea.I have three windows along my wall as you go upstairs that need privacy but we also enjoy the beautiful California outdoors. We just did not know what to do with these winows. This could be the solution.

On another note thanks for your vote of confidence Betty as I venture into my new Tea Party business. Your e-mai last week is very helpful. I contacted a church in Ontario California and I will be meeting with them on Friday about a Mother Daughetr Tea for the Moms in the church. Thank You Thank You. I will definitely let you know the result of the meeting .

Have a great week!

2. Hi Andrea,

These windows are great! They would make a wonderful and beautiful addition to your home, that doesn’t require a lot of work. If you decide to do it, let us know what you think.

Congratulations on the first meeting to set up a tea party. A church is always a good beginning, because you have a variety of people that represent multiple organizations. I am excited for you. Let me know how the first tea turns out and how many people you network with. Good luck!!!! (I am claiming your success for you.)

6. Hi Ray,

I am glad to share the company name with you. It is Pella Windows and Doors. They have a wide variety of styles for you to choose from. I know that you should be quite happy with the selection.

Good luck and let us know how you make out.

7. Did you choose a fabric shade or mini-blind? What are the pros/cons of either choice?

by Sharon — 7/9/08 at 1:42 pm #

8. Hi Sharon,

What you see above is a fabric shade. It is far more accommodating and can be gotten in different colors and designs. You will find that it is so great for your window because it allows for a lot of light to come into your home. Check it out.

Good luck to you!

Betty

9. Is Pella the only company that makes these? They are very pricey. I am building and I want them all over my house in the windows and doors. We are pricing them now and they are extremely expensive.

10. Where did you get your windows with the pleated shades between the windows? I am having the hardest time. Finding them. We are remodeling and building a large shop. We have bought the french doors with blinds but the same company does NOT have picture windows with blinds between the glass HELP!!! We need to get them ordered before winter takes over :)

11. Expensive? How expensive? Can you actually change the shades after installation if desired? I need to replace both windows and shades so this sounds good but I haven’t been able to find even a hint of pricing online.

12. I am looking to add the blind and inside window to existing windows that are encased (do not open). Do you know where I can find a blind encased in glass that we can mount to our existing windows? we are looking to block out the sun/and privacy during different times of the day. I would prefer the option of opening and closing the blind by remote because the windows are hard to reach.
