I am especially fond of Cottage Living Magazine. During the summer months it makes me think of getting away for a relaxing weekend with family and friends. At any time of the year, I find the quaint design of organized smaller spaces, decorated for hospitality to be extremely inviting.
I began exploring their website earlier today, and I was thrilled to find a section filled with photos and design ideas. It is called their, Design Assitant. The invitation you will find there is to,”Get Ideas,” and “Get It Done.”
If you are like me, you are always looking at pictures for ideas to incorporate into your decorating. I know my likes and dislikes, but photographs trigger my imagination and give me so many new ways to look at the things I already have. I also get ideas on how to move things around, and sometimes I even find a photo of a new item that will accent one of my rooms perfectly.
As you peruse the Design Assistant, you will discover hundreds of photos of whole rooms: kitchens, bathrooms, kids rooms, outdoor rooms and more. Beneath that you will discover a section on room specifics: window treatments, mantels, floors, and cabinets. Finally there is the solutions section. Don’t we all need that one? There you will find pictures to help with budget decorating, small spaces, and projects.
I hope you find the site as much fun as I have found it! Please let me know some of your favorite ideas, or a surprise you found there that simply delighted you.

2. I absolutely love Cottage Living magazine. I was inspired by pictures of the home of editor Heather Chadduck in decorating my apartment. I found some great accent pieces at Home Goods such as a pair of white table lamps, rattan storage trunk, and vases to complete the look.

The lavender bedroom made me think back to my room when I was a teen. My mom let me decorate my room myself when we moved into a new house. I had so much fun, and wanted everything lavender. It is still one of my favorite colors.

5. Hello
I would like to get 2 shams of the Cotton Filled Quilt (Lisbon) with flowers like the bed spread and 2 stripped shams like the reverse of the same bed spread.. Where can I find them?

8. I’m with you Pat! That was not only my fav, but my husband enjoyed it as well. I have so many pages torn from back issues of ideas for this house or the next one. Let me know if you find a new magazine to fill the gap.
