I love visiting places very different from my home, and St. Augustine, Florida is probably as different from Connecticut as you can get!

Besides the warmth, I love the beautiful detail in the Spanish architecture, the unique foliage, and the warm and vibrant colors.

Did I mention the shopping? Total eye candy! I’d love to incorporate some of these elements to my home to bring some vacation memories and experiences home with me.

Sadly, because we flew, I couldn’t go too crazy. But I pick up a lovely sangria pitcher from the Columbia restaurant (talk about form and function!).

I also plan to enlarge some of the photographs I took in sepia tone and put them in some pretty frames.

Did you get inspired this summer? If so, how did you bring a piece of vacation home with you?

1. Are you planning on building a store in Oklahoma? Can I get on your catalog mailing list?

2. Hi Rebecca,

Thank you for your inquiry.

At this time we do not have any plans for a new store in Oklahoma, however we have passed your request in to our Real Estate Department for their review.

In addition, because each of our stores receives over 10,000 new items each week, it would be impossible for us to offer a catalog to our customers.

Thank you,

Jessica

3. For years I wanted to go to St. Augustine’s and Last year on our way to Florida we stayed for three days and I fell in love all over again. We stayed at a timeshare on a golf course and at the moment I can’t think of the name but,Everything I saw was over the top in my eyes. Of course we had to take the tour of the Fountain of Youth, great. Also through the streets with all the small stores, we stopped at a small pub and the live music was so beautiful and relaxing.. and the food awesome!! The people we talked to , so friendly, it seemed we new them for years, just yesterday I mentioned to my Husband… on the way to Florida next year lets put St Augustine on the map again!!!

4. Hi Chris,

Isn’t it just so charming there!? We usually go w/little kids, but one of these times I’d like to have a grown-up weekend there.
