I hosted a double baby shower for my daughter and daughter-in-law this past Saturday, and one of the treats I made up for the mama’s-to-be were these little gift buckets for the two grandbabies on the way!

Actually, the buckets-as-baskets idea started out this past spring. I discovered these darling enamelware buckets and they were a steal of a deal. (at TJ Maxx of course) I grabbed them up, thinking they’d make great gift baskets for something at some point. You see, I keep a shelf in my linen closet full of little gift items and containers (buckets, boxes, baskets and gift bags) for them that I find while out and about, either shopping or thrifting. Then, when needed, I have a hostess gift, a birthday surprise…whatever, as well as something to put it in.
Things like cute gift boxes, baskets, buckets or gift bags end up here as well. (And at the time I purchased these darling buckets, who knew I would be having both a boy and a girl grandchild coming along? As it turns out, they’re just too perfect!)

So
easy to assemble. (click on the pictures to enlarge them!)I simply layered the bottom with newborn sized disposable diapers, then added in the little gifts, which I coordinated by color, as you can see. I used little snippets of several different ribbons tied on the handle of the bucket, along with a baby spoon and a sweet little name tag that I whipped out on the computer. All assembled in a matter of minutes, and it looks like a million bucks.

Keep this easy idea in mind next time you need to make a few small gift items look amazing. So easy and so quick. And so cute too!

2. Tracey, these are just sweet as can be and I’m sure the little buckets will be well used in the peanuts’ nurseries. :)

4. By far – my favorite gift at the shower! I LOVED the little hat and shoes and putting the diapers in the bottom to raise everything to the top of the bucket was genius as well as fun to get another surprise at the bottom. Loved everything about the shower! You’re attention to detail is unlike anyone’s!
