There is something about this time of year that has me wanting to organize every corner of my home. I never seem to get that far with it, but my intentions are always good. There are some things that I am good about keeping organized like my junk drawer, incoming mail and this baking cabinet. Basically if I use it on a regular basis, I like to keep it organized.
I really like storage. I buy baskets, bins and containers endlessly in an effort to corral the clutter of my every day life. At this point I have so many baskets that they are becoming the clutter but that’s a story best saved for my therapist. I find that I enjoy using things when they are stored in a way that’s pretty. It heightens the experience for me as well as making it easier to find what I’m looking for. So while my friends may look at me like I’m an alien when they open a cabinet and see baskets organizing my baking ingredients, I’m inspired to get that basket down and bake up a batch of something yummy for my family.
