The trick or treaters have come and gone, and November has arrived. For most of us that realization either thrills us with anticipation for the upcoming holiday season, or strikes terror at the thought of all that must be accomplished in the coming weeks.
I am here to help! Once again I let my fingers do the walking (okay, maybe I should call it tapping) along my keyboard, and found some helpful sites to get us started on our plans and preparations for Thanksgiving.
About.com: Interior Decorating - Thanksgiving Decorating Ideas. This one site will provide you with locations that will give you ideas for everthing from centerpieces, to napkin folding, to front portch decor.
Kaboose – Thanksgiving 2008 - I absolutely loved this site. I would have loved to have something like this when my children were little, or when I was teaching. This site offers craft ideas, coloring pages, recipes, clip art, even tips on how to take great family photos.
HGTV.com – Thanksgiving: Celebrate in Style! Leave it to HGTV to be our one stop shop for everything we need to be the “hostess with the mostest.” This beautiful site offers menu suggestions with recipes, decor ideas for every area of the home, invitations, place cards, and ways to make your houseguests comfortable.
My Recipes – Thanksgiving Recipes - If you are still in need of the perfect recipe to complete your holiday menu. This is the site for you! The recipes sound wonderful, the photos beautiful, and they even provide a location for you to store your menus, recipes, and shopping lists.
Now that I have all of this information at my fingertips. I plan to sit down with my planner and prepare for a much more relaxed and organized holiday season. I am a terrible procrastinator! So, I am counting on this to make the season more enjoyable. Stay tuned – I will give you updates each week on my success, and I hope to have an idea or two to pass along as well.
Please let us know how you plan ahead for this the busiest time of the year!
