chur1Every year when my local HomeGoods starts to fill their stores with Christmas items galore one of the first things I try to find are their snow covered cathedrals and houses. I think someone else must love them as much as I do because this year I was only able to find a few. My favorite thing to do is spend a little craft time decorating them with bits of old jewelry, vintage ephemera, snipets of tinsel, antique buttons and tiny glittered birds. It puts my own personal stamp on them and dresses them up a bit. Sort of like decorating grown up gingerbread houses only without the candy. I look forward to adding to my growing collection every year and think I might even be able to have my own little Christmas Town one day!

2. How precious and what a great idea to dress them up! I’m going to HomeGoods tonight to try and find some for myself. Thanks for the inspiration, Heather!
