Bay at ChristmasI’m back by the coast in so. Cal., sending warm Christmas greetings your way. I hope you’re enjoying all the festive and beautiful holiday decorations where you live. I am here. People around here seem to really get in the Holiday mood. They decorate their homes, cars, boat docks, boats, you name it. In fact, every Christmas for a week or so, hundreds of boats of every shape and size are decorated with lots of lights and parade up and down the bays and harbors. It’s quite a sight at night.

Christmas dockI was out enjoying the day and snapped a few shots that I thought you might enjoy. Especially for those who have lots of cold and snow. Warm wishes are sent your way.  Although, snow would be nice for a little while, especially at Christmas. Actually, we do have snow in our high mountains, even a few decent ski areas. So, if we really want to see the “white stuff” we can drive an hour and 1/2 to the mountains and be back at the beach, all in the same day.  Ain’t life grand!

Christams Bay Have any of you taken any “Christmas card” photos from your neck-of-the-woods?  If you get a moment, from all the last minute running around, we would love to see them. Upload one or two, in the “add a photo to your comments” section below. Love to see what Christmas is like where you live.

1. Hi Cathy,

Thanks so much for sharing that eye candy! It’s 11 degrees here this morning, and “old” snow blankets the ground as far as the eye can see. (Am I dramatic this morning or what!).

2. Hi Susan,

BOY, you guys are cold and snowy. My sister lives in Missouri and she tells me how much winter has set in there. At least you’ll have a white Christmas to sprinkle reindeer dust on. Oh, just thought of something…go out in the snow and make reindeer hoof prints to add to the dust. The kids will love it. I bet they are bouncing off the walls these days!
Merry Christmas to you all.

3. Great idea Cathy! I think I’ll delegate that task to hubby (I’m allergic to the cold!). ~Susan

6. Ohhhhh Heavens to Betsy!

This is in Southern California?? My guess would be “BURRRRbank”!
Or up in the mountains in Big Bear or Lake Arrowhead area. You did have a white Christmas! Looks beautiful. I’m glad I don’t have to shovel my way out of there.
Enjoy your beautiful mountain home and thanks for a great picture to show our weather extremes.

Stay warm and have a Happy New Year.
