You may not associate a white bedroom with romance, but if done the right way…ooh la la! For some reason, I keep coming back to this particular bedroom (click to enlarge). Here’s why I think it’s so romantic:
- The white walls are subtly softened with a framed architectural element.
- The silver head board with tufted white fabric is the star of this room, and adds a touch of nostalgia.
- The silver night tables are classically styled but with a surprising silver finish.
- The lamps echo the white and silver in the room, with soft shades to diffuse the light.
Now I know it would be tempting to add more accessories to this room, but I think its simple approach is very inviting. What do you think?
1. Hi Susan,
I love all white rooms. This one’s beautiful. Very classy and fresh.
To keep an all white room looking interesting, use lots of textures, even if they are only in white. Also add a few different white colors, they don’t have to match. Love the silver touches in this room.
Great post, I enjoyed it!

2. Hi Cathy – I think the silver and textures are what makes this room special. I’m actually doing some updates in one of my daughter’s room that will be white/black and w/a pop of bright blue. Wish me luck…doing it on a tight budget! LOL

3. I do love a white bedroom! It’s so serene and peaceful. I need a little color thrown in, but it doesn’t take much.

4. Hi Julia,
Nice thing about white is that you can add any color to it, then change your mind!
