I am a talker! Talkers rarely run out of things to talk about; however, this has been a very busy week with lots going on . . . so I found myself midday with absolutely nothing to share with all of you. What was I going to do?

I did what many of us do in a crisis; I went shopping! I am hosting Easter dinner at our house, so my first thought was something to do with all of the entertaining that will happen in the coming week. I looked at table cloths, dishes, glassware, and centerpieces; and although I found many lovely things nothing inspired my chatter.

Then as I wandered through the housewares section of my closest TJ Maxx store; I spotted these awesome wall decals. This is my upstairs guest bathroom. I have always wanted it to be fun! I try to place something in each of the rooms in our house that makes me smile. Some items are unexpected or unusual, and others are attached to a memory and bring back wonderful feelings.

As soon as I saw these decals I knew they would liven up a room that needed a little boost. I thought about getting a new shower curtain and accessories again, but that seemed kind of extreme.

These decals simply press on, and can easily be moved into a new design. So, the next time I get bored with this room, I can simply peel them off and start over again. How cool is that? The best part is the whole face lift only cost about ten dollars.

I have done similar looks with stencils, but the downside is that the room has to be repainted in order to change it. This look can be redone to go with my moods and energy level.

If you want to take a closer look – click on the collages to enlarge them.. Please share your ideas, and tell us some of the quick and easy changes you will make to brighten a room this Spring!

3. I moved to this area about 9 months ago and can’t stay away from HomeGoods. I am in the store at least once a week. I must have bought at least a dozen pieces. Recently I bought an abstract metal wall piece and everytime I go into my den, I can’t take my eyes off of it. HomeGoods has the most unique pieces of art and other items that I’ve even seen and at such reasonable prices. I am moving to Palm Springs in the next 8 months and I pray that there is a HomeGoods in Palm Springs or close by because I never want to stop shopping there. Your inventory is absolutely beautiful.
