Antique TableMy neighbor just got a new, well…make that old…kitchen table. So of course, I had to go see it! It’s a huge, 65″ round antique table with 8 chairs. With three boys, visiting relatives and lots of play date friends, this table has plenty of room for all. While it’s a big table, the chairs are on the smaller side, which is why it fits so well in this space (plus it increases the odds of people pushing their chairs in when they’re done eating!).

It is painted green with beautiful gold detail, featuring “North, South, East and West” weathervane in the center with a floral pattern along the edges and on the chairs. (And yes, the arrows are pointing in the appropriate directions).

And it looks charming set for Easter, don’t you think?

Because of its wonderful detail, my neighbor is having a round glass cut to place on top (if you have boys, you understand why!).

But aside from being a beautiful piece of furniture, I can’t help but wonder what conversations took place at this table in generations past? Did kids do their homework here? Did families talk about the ups and downs in their daily life at dinner? How many birthday candles were blown out on this table?

Do you have any antique pieces in your home? Do they have a story?

6. Since you do not have stores in OK and you don’t have online shopping, do you have a catalog I could get thru the mail to shop from? I’ve noticed your ads in several of my magazines, but I don’t know how to “shop” for your products. Please advise. Thanks..B

7. Hi Rebecca,

Thank you for your inquiry.

Because each of our stores receives over 10,000 new items each week, it would be impossible for us to offer a catalog to our customers.

Sincerely,

Jessica

11. Hi Erin,

I have no idea what color it is because it’s so old, but you could adjust the color as needed with how much antiquing stain you use.
