I love to cook. I really love to cook when I have fresh herbs. They can be costly, if purchased at the grocery store and usually turn brown before you have a chance to use them all. So to have fresh herbs year round, I grow them inside and outside.

During the winter I have some herb pots on my kitchen counter. I use decorative copper pots, because they fit my country French theme. You could use clay pots, italian pottery, modern bowls or anything that fits your style.

In the spring, I plant fresh herbs in my garden. There is nothing better than stepping out my front door and walking into my courtyard to cut the herbs I need for dinner. Some great ones to grow are, Italian parsely, oregano, chives, thyme, mint tarragon, dill and rosemary. Sage is great too! So go on, get those hands dirty! Grow some fresh herbs! You will be so glad you did.
