I don’t know about you, but I love the opportunity to get a little retail therapy. I’ve shared before that I love a good treasure hunt. So, I find it relaxing to go into a favorite store and search for a bargain.
I believe we are all watching our spending a little more carefully these days, so I am finding it especially fun to hunt for inexpensive treasures that brighten my day. These tiles make me smile every time I look at them, and I found a perfect spot for them in my guest bath.
Since I am trying to organize and declutter my home, it is important that the items I find either have a purpose or are something I will use up. Some of my favorite things to look for are stationary, notecards, little candles, pens, journals, a small plant, or a new scented soap. These types of things cost very little, but make me feel a little pampered.
I’m sure you could add to the list above. Tell us about the little finds that bring you pleasure. Don’t forget little gifts are a great way to tell a friend you care as well.
1. I also am in the middle of decluttering my one bed room apt. I am 56 and suffer with fibromyalgia so I can not do this alone. But thankfuly I have a wonderful granddaughter that is helping me to go though everything once and for all. Because of her I will be going though a great healing. I also have ADHD which doesn’t help me with this task. I got buried under all this clutter years ago, and I have just never found a way out. Now I have Hope because of my granddaughter and God. Thank you for being here, It was so nice to read your advice and for you to share your thoughts with others out here , like me. It made a difference to me that you were here, and it was as if you knew what I was going through in someways. Nice to know we are not alone out here, and others are going through simerial things as we are going through. Again Thank you so much. God Bless You.

2. Debi,
Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving your comment. What a blessing to have your granddaughter help with this project. I’m sure these are moments that you both will cherish for years to come. One of the best things I have learned about clearing out the clutter is that even if I don’t finish, workinig on it everyday gets the job done eventually. Keep at it girl, there will be others like me cheering you on. Check out my profile here at HG to find a link to my own blog as well. I think you might enjoy some of my topics over there. God’s blessings to you, too!
