Maybe it’s the rain, but lately I’ve been thinking about adding color to my kitchen.  I don’t have the style kitchen to support the bold (and beautiful) retro large appliances, but why not add a few unexpected accessories?

How about a blue toaster? Orange simmer pot?  Red mixer?  You get the idea.

It’s also fun to mix colors.  I really like this sky blue table with sunny yellow chairs (that wall is screaming for a bold vintage poster over it, huh?). 

A friend of mine is renovating her kitchen.  Below is a lovely shot of her “vintage” avocado stove.  For some reason, I sort of like it!  It’s unapologetic, spunky and probably has many stories to tell.  (But no, it’s not staying! )
