Have you ever dined at a fabulous restaurant and wished that you could repeat the feeling of fine dining at home? An evening spent in an amazing city enjoying delicious food and wonderful company is an experience we would like to taste again and again.

I must admit that when I first heard that HG was going to carry signature pieces from The Palm Restaurant I was a little leery. I guess I was expecting dishes presenting a logo. Then I walked in the store and found this fantastic display of glassware, dishes, flatware, and cookware.

I wanted to load my cart and do a total dining room makeover. These pieces exude simple elegance. You know from past posts that I love white dishes. I believe white is a great choice any time of the year. It is perfect with any decor, and these feel like fine china and costly crystal without the expensive price point.

I don’t normally do a straight up pitch of  HG merchandise, but I simply could not let these items disappear without mention. So, if you are thinking of a complete table service change or you simply need a few pieces to add to the ones you currently use . . . don’t waste any time in getting to your nearest store. I am certain these will not last long.

If  like me, you live in an area where you are unenlightened concerning The Palm Restaurants, click here to find out more about the history of this popular dining destination.

I’m curious. Have you ever appointed a room in your home to model a favorite spot you enjoyed visiting?

LOVE IT Do you LOVE IT?

4. Deb,
I was just at Homegoods in Olathe, KS and saw the Palm stainless steel cart with Butcher Block Top. Not sure where you live but if anywhere close…worth going to Homegoods in Olathe. The asking price was $499.00

5. Tonight I bought a beautiful black leather, studded chair at Home Goods. I visited/called 5 other HGs in the Minneapolis area and cannot find the same chair (I’d like a matching set). I tried to determine the manufacturer and the tag reads “The Palm Restaurant”. I’ve googled, binged, and twittered and can’t find the furniture online. Any idea who manufacturers it or where I can find it? FYI – if you’re in a HG in the MN area, the style number I’m looking for is #016330 – it’d be great to find this chair again!!

7. Hi Denise, Thanks for contacting us here. I was in the store last night and although I didn’t see your specific chair, I did notice that there were lots of fabulous leather pieces. I am hoping that you will be able to complete the pair of chairs. Don’t forget to send us a pic when you do. Thanks again!

8. Like Denise, I too found a beautiful and comfortable chair at HG. But I didn’t buy it. I went home, and like Denise I tried to google the Palm Restaurant to find out more about them and their furniture. I’m a little uncomfortable buying furniture from an unknown brand. I’m sure the company that manufactures these products for the Palm Restaurant also makes furniture with other labels. Do anyone know anything about the manufacturer and their quality? The chair would be perfect for our living room, so any help is much appreciated!

by Joni — 10/12/09 at 10:59 am #

9. Hi Joni, I so wish I could be of more help. I did some internet searching myself, but without success. At our local HG I have only been aware of the dishware, and have not seen the furniture. Maybe one of our readers have had a little more success in their investigation. I hope you are able to find what you are looking for . . . Thanks for shopping at HG and for visiting us here at Openhouse.

10. Hi Denise,

I have seen (and purchased) the palm leather chair you are talking about at several Boston-area Homegoods stores. I can help you locate on if you’d like.

12. I too am in need of the fellow bloggers of this forum. Currently residing in Las Vegas, I purchased two and am in need of a third barstool from the ‘palm resturant’ collection. The barstool in question stands @ 41 1/2 tall, red/brownish leather, wood legs, with copper rivits/buttons that adorn the outline of the back of the seat and around the bottom edge of the seat. went as far as contacting stores in utah and upper and southern califorina (20 stores total) no luck. If any readers who come across this post, that may be able to direct me to what I’m looking for, I would be forever grateful.

13. I love the way our readers and bloggers are working together to make this site great! This use of helping each other is one I hadn’t anticipated, but it is terrific. Jack, I am hoping that someone will come along with a tip on your barstool. I love the Palm collection – it goes with everything and is classic!! Thanks for stopping by, I hope you are successful in your quest.

14. amazing purchase and wonderful customer service. i purchased the 45 pc. entertaining set and was missing a saucer. i called my local HG store and they got me a saucer right away.
the dishes are crisp, elegant and can’t wait to show them off they look like they cost many times more than the puchase price.

by maryq — 11/5/09 at 4:53 pm #

15. Dear Mary, We are sooooo glad to hear of your recent find and customer experience. I too love the Palm dishware. Basic white dishes work all year round, and leave us with much flexibility for holiday decorating. I have tried other colors a couple of times over the years, and always come back to white.

Thanks for sharing your experience with all of us!!!!!!

22. I too looked at the Palm glass bakeware and did not buy it because it said on the bottom it was made in China. I am a little nervous about buying any cookware made in China. If I am wrong…let me know.

by Michelle — 11/14/09 at 8:56 pm #

23. Hi MIchelle, Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comment. I did a little research this morning on concern about dishes made in China. Although there certainly are mixed opinions, it seemed that most thought that dishes and glassware made in China are safe for use.

Thanks for entering in on our discussion. I know this is a concern for some of you, and certainly becomes something we should talk about. Thanks to all for being willing to share their thoughts and opinions.

24. I just purchased a 10 inch stainless skillet by Palm at HG. I am super excited about using it, but I can not find any other pieces online or reviews or anything. Does anyone have any experience with thier cookware?

by jenn — 12/1/09 at 2:57 pm #

25. I recently saw Palm copper bottomed stainless steel cookware, including a fry pan, but I was reluctant to purchase it because I know nothing of the quality. I could not find any information about this from the Homegoods store or from the staff there. Anyone have any information? Will the pans stand up to cooktop to oven cooking? Quality of the pans and saute pans? Cooking surface (ie does food stick?). Thank you.

by George — 12/5/09 at 6:31 pm #

26. George and Jenn, I wish I had the answer to your question. I am counting on our HG friends to come along and help here. I’m counting on a thumb’s up for the Palm cookware!!

30. Hi,
As a fanatical Home goods shopper I have made so many great finds, but if anyone has seen a Palm Restaurant Barstool (tall one) please let me know. I found a great one shaped similar to a club chair, very comfortable and looks great at my breakfast bar but it is missing it’s sister or brother.

32. I bought a Palm Restaurant dinner service from Home Goods last summer. I was not able to find cups and saucers, unfortunately. Has anyone seen these? I got the “square” service (at teh time, both square and round plates were available), and I am having a heck of a time trying to find cups and saucers that match.

If anyone sees these available, please give me a buzz!

36. I see a few of you are trying to track down the Palm Restaurant bar stools with studded backs, too. I found ONE lone one at a HomeGoods in the Chicago area which doesn’t do anyone much good. I’d like at least one more to have a proper set for my breakfast bar. Anyone seen these? Black legs, dark brown seat with a back and silver studs all along the back and sloping arms? If I can’t find a match, it’s going back to Home Goods.

by Jamie — 12/30/09 at 5:11 pm #

37. Hi Jamie, Thanks for checking in here. I am hoping that there will be a way for each of you looking for these bar stools to come up with a set. If anyone has seen them, please let us know here. 51. I am trying to find the manufacturer for The Palm furniture as well. I made the mistake of not getting some living room and dining room chairs in chocolate brown leather with silver nail heads when I saw them. I couldn’t find them at any store. I went as far as checking out of state for them. I’ve tried looking for The Palm furniture on the website. I even went as far as to contact the restaurant directly to see if they could give me some information on their furniture. They were only able to tell me that Homegoods sell their furniture, something which I already know. Please if anyone finds the manufacturer for the furniture, please post.

Thank you!!!

52. Hi Kecia, I have done a Google search and have been unsuccessful so far. I know there are quite a few individuals trying to find out this information. Hopefully, we will be able to come up with the answer. In the mean time continue to check out your local stores and its always possible that someone might be able to locate these chairs in another city. Best wishes! I hope you are able to find them.

53. 2 weeks ago I found a “Palm” leather chair with ottoman in a dark brown. The chair was 299.00 and the ottoman 199.00. I went back today to buy it and the chair is gone. I live in the Dallas Tx area. If anyone can help me find these I would greatly appreciate it!

by Susan — 2/20/10 at 8:42 pm #

54. I’m sorry that happened Susan. I recently had a leather trunk get purchased and leave the store while I was busy looking at other things. One of the reasons HG has such a great return policy is so that we can take things home, try them, and return them if they don’t work. It is not uncommon for items to get purchased by someone else before we can get back to the store.

You have come to the right place for searchers. I’m sure someone will let you know if the find one in their area. I do hope you will be able to find those pieces you are looking for. Thanks for stopping by HG Openhouse.

60. Hi, I wish there was someplace other than HG (like a dedicated Palm website/catalog) that I could see what is available in the Palm Restaurant collection. I’m looking for Palm cookware/8qt. stockpot but I’m not sure it comes in that size. I’ve found 6qt. and 12qt and there is one even bigger but i’d love to know if the Palm even makes an 8qt. before I call every store on the east coast.

61. We just bought a set of stainless steel cookware at the Target Homestore in the state of MD when we were visiting there. We bought 2 skillets with lids, 2 nice sauce pans with lids–all with stainless steel bottoms, and a small skillet with a copper bottom. We used one of the skillets for the first time, and it did not clean up well and has spots that appear to be embedded into the finish. I went online to check ways to clean stainless steel, so we will try those. BUT, does anyone have any Palm Stainless Steel pans? If so, is there a special trick to cleaning them? AND, I am amazed that there is nothing really online about the Palm pans. That makes me very nervous!

by Sandee — 5/26/10 at 12:38 pm #

62. I’m always glad for Palm dinnerware and cookware conversations and comments. Sandee, I have not purchased them myself so I’m not able to help you with cleaning suggestions. I did a Google search and came up with a couple of articles for cleaning stainless pots: http://housewares.about.com/lw/Food-Drink/Cooking/Tips-for-Cleaning-Stainless-Steel-Cookware.htm and http://www.ehow.com/how_172266_clean-stainless-steel.html
I hope they will be helpful. Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comment.
