Have you ever dined at a fabulous restaurant and wished that you could repeat the feeling of fine dining at home? An evening spent in an amazing city enjoying delicious food and wonderful company is an experience we would like to taste again and again.
I must admit that when I first heard that HG was going to carry signature pieces from The Palm Restaurant I was a little leery. I guess I was expecting dishes presenting a logo. Then I walked in the store and found this fantastic display of glassware, dishes, flatware, and cookware.
I wanted to load my cart and do a total dining room makeover. These pieces exude simple elegance. You know from past posts that I love white dishes. I believe white is a great choice any time of the year. It is perfect with any decor, and these feel like fine china and costly crystal without the expensive price point.
I don’t normally do a straight up pitch of HG merchandise, but I simply could not let these items disappear without mention. So, if you are thinking of a complete table service change or you simply need a few pieces to add to the ones you currently use . . . don’t waste any time in getting to your nearest store. I am certain these will not last long.
If like me, you live in an area where you are unenlightened concerning The Palm Restaurants, click here to find out more about the history of this popular dining destination.
I’m curious. Have you ever appointed a room in your home to model a favorite spot you enjoyed visiting?
1. I know the Palm Restaurant makes a stainless steel butcher block kitchen cart. Has anyone seen it?

4. Deb,
I was just at Homegoods in Olathe, KS and saw the Palm stainless steel cart with Butcher Block Top. Not sure where you live but if anywhere close…worth going to Homegoods in Olathe. The asking price was $499.00

5. Tonight I bought a beautiful black leather, studded chair at Home Goods. I visited/called 5 other HGs in the Minneapolis area and cannot find the same chair (I’d like a matching set). I tried to determine the manufacturer and the tag reads “The Palm Restaurant”. I’ve googled, binged, and twittered and can’t find the furniture online. Any idea who manufacturers it or where I can find it? FYI - if you’re in a HG in the MN area, the style number I’m looking for is #016330 - it’d be great to find this chair again!!

7. Hi Denise, Thanks for contacting us here. I was in the store last night and although I didn’t see your specific chair, I did notice that there were lots of fabulous leather pieces. I am hoping that you will be able to complete the pair of chairs. Don’t forget to send us a pic when you do. Thanks again!

8. Like Denise, I too found a beautiful and comfortable chair at HG. But I didn’t buy it. I went home, and like Denise I tried to google the Palm Restaurant to find out more about them and their furniture. I’m a little uncomfortable buying furniture from an unknown brand. I’m sure the company that manufactures these products for the Palm Restaurant also makes furniture with other labels. Do anyone know anything about the manufacturer and their quality? The chair would be perfect for our living room, so any help is much appreciated!

9. Hi Joni, I so wish I could be of more help. I did some internet searching myself, but without success. At our local HG I have only been aware of the dishware, and have not seen the furniture. Maybe one of our readers have had a little more success in their investigation. I hope you are able to find what you are looking for . . . Thanks for shopping at HG and for visiting us here at Openhouse.

10. Hi Denise,
I have seen (and purchased) the palm leather chair you are talking about at several Boston-area Homegoods stores. I can help you locate on if you’d like.

12. I too am in need of the fellow bloggers of this forum. Currently residing in Las Vegas, I purchased two and am in need of a third barstool from the ‘palm resturant’ collection. The barstool in question stands @ 41 1/2 tall, red/brownish leather, wood legs, with copper rivits/buttons that adorn the outline of the back of the seat and around the bottom edge of the seat. went as far as contacting stores in utah and upper and southern califorina (20 stores total) no luck. If any readers who come across this post, that may be able to direct me to what I’m looking for, I would be forever grateful.

13. I love the way our readers and bloggers are working together to make this site great! This use of helping each other is one I hadn’t anticipated, but it is terrific. Jack, I am hoping that someone will come along with a tip on your barstool. I love the Palm collection - it goes with everything and is classic!! Thanks for stopping by, I hope you are successful in your quest.

14. amazing purchase and wonderful customer service. i purchased the 45 pc. entertaining set and was missing a saucer. i called my local HG store and they got me a saucer right away.
the dishes are crisp, elegant and can’t wait to show them off they look like they cost many times more than the puchase price.

15. Dear Mary, We are sooooo glad to hear of your recent find and customer experience. I too love the Palm dishware. Basic white dishes work all year round, and leave us with much flexibility for holiday decorating. I have tried other colors a couple of times over the years, and always come back to white.
Thanks for sharing your experience with all of us!!!!!!

18. Karen, I have done a Google search to answer your question about where the Palm cookware is manufactured. I have not had success so far, but won’t give up. Someone will have the answer, it might just take me a few days. Thanks for your great question. I’ll do my best to find out the answer.

22. I too looked at the Palm glass bakeware and did not buy it because it said on the bottom it was made in China. I am a little nervous about buying any cookware made in China. If I am wrong…let me know.

23. Hi MIchelle, Thanks for stopping by and leaving your comment. I did a little research this morning on concern about dishes made in China. Although there certainly are mixed opinions, it seemed that most thought that dishes and glassware made in China are safe for use.
Thanks for entering in on our discussion. I know this is a concern for some of you, and certainly becomes something we should talk about. Thanks to all for being willing to share their thoughts and opinions.
