labeled linensIt’s still warm outside, but I’ve caught the back-to-school bug and am itchin’ to organize.  ;)  I like to start by clearing out storage areas and closets FIRST, so when I fly through the house like a crazy woman, I actually have someplace to put things rather than just scooting them around the house in a chaotic fashion.

I can still hear my Mom saying “a place for everything and everything in its place.”

This year, I’m going to add something new to my annual organization event…labels!  Since there are others who live in this house (ahem), it gives me a fighting chance to get things put back where they actually belong.  Pipe dream?  Perhaps.  But it can’t hurt to try!

How do you get organized?  What inspires you?

1. Susan, labels are a GREAT help for multiple-person households — not only helps with getting things back where they belong, but even in finding them in the first place!

I get inspired to organize whenever I get something new — finding a place for the new stuff prompts me to re-think other things in the room and whether I still love/want/need them and or could find a better home for them. Just got some new fall clothes so that inspired me to re-organize my clothes closet — off to charity with a bag full of things that I don’t wear anymore. Feels good to be generous in tough times!

2. Hi Joan,

Funny thing…as I get older, I need the labels to be larger print. lol
