Dollhouse Laundry Storage de

A few posts back I shared an example of storage as a work of art. This week I’m looking at storage ideas that are created out of re-purposed items.   I think this old dollhouse is a classic example of very clever re-purposed storage.  Once a child’s toy, it now houses supplies in the laundry room.  Don’t you just love it?

(I found this example at the Make Room for Living blog Photo is from Cottage Style Living)

Another clever idea is this old coat rack re-purposed as a hanging pot rack.  I would probably  store the lids elsewhere, (one brushed shoulder and down they’d go) but I think it works very well for the hanging pots and pans.

(I found this idea over at Melissa’s blog, (”The Inspired Room.”  Picture is from  Cottage Living )

So, put your creative hat on and take a look around your house (or your local HG store) and try to see ordinary things in a new way.

What do you need to store and what creative ways could you store it?

1. I cant wait to find a doll house to do your project. I wonder if sturdy boxs could be decorated as doll house rooms then used for wall art storages
